I do walk inside the house and using walking videos. I also will march in place when brushing teeth or waiting for the microwave. It isn't the same as walking outside, but it is better than sitting still.

I think exercise is exercise - if you have a pedometer and you do this again wear the pedometer and track your steps.
There are days that I don't get up when I would have enough time to get out and walk so I use a old Leslie Sansone tape and follow it for as long as I have time for - most of the time it's at least 1 mile. She had great stuff and several dvds....
I was super lazy the other day and didn't feel like going to the gym to do my walk. It's too cold to walk outside, so I thought I'd do some laps in the apartment. I ended up doing 20 minutes in a crazy figure-8 throughout the entire apartment--part of it included jumping on the bed!
I know it may not be ideal, but it was better than staying still. And it was fun. Looking forward to more weeks walking.
