CGASKEW44 I see you are being faithful in checking in with steps ,,, even our down days we can still be accountable and that encourages others to not give up because "we are not alone!!! this was a travel day for appointments so literally sat all day except for potty stops and to walk in and out of buildings. I kept wiggling my feet trying to keep circulation going but could hardly walk when we finally got back home. Now to catch up on Spark and emails and early to bed.

LINDAF49; Live in North Carolina in a small town. I have two grandsons aged 19 and 17. They live close and I see the 19 yr old several times weekly. He has Aspbergers syndrome but not real bad. Talks well and learns well those things of interest to him. The 17 yr old is very active and on the go but looks after the 19 yr old like his parents.

GolfGMa..where are you and how many Grands? I am 67 and have only one and they are in Alaska so have never seen him.

Week 1
Day 1 - (4/28) walked 10,082 steps (4.14 miles)
Day 2 - (4/29) walked 7,685 steps (3.16 miles) did wall push ups, squats, hand weights for 15 mins.
Day 3 - (4/30) walked 9082 steps (3.73 miles)
Day 4 - (5/1) walked 6598 steps (2.71 miles)
Day 5 - (5/2) walked 3508 steps (1.44 miles) bad day as I was sick with tummy issues.

I did the first week. I suffer from degenerative disc disease and nerve damage in my back and each walk has been really tough to get through. I have completed my walks by stopping and stretching my back and body each time it got too painful. I'm really hoping to see some improvement soon as far as my pain level. Today, I am hurting a bit and taking an off day. I will get through this workout, if I have to stop every 5 minutes. The walking is good because it lets me move at a slower place. This challenge for me isn't about sped, its about distance and getting it done. Good luck to everyone on this journey. We can do it!

I did day 2 as well. Hubby and I timed a mile walk down town and then as a reward we went and looked at a bike for him. we ended up with a mile in a half. I ll do my last day Sunday of week 1 on the treadmill. I like to go for 30 minutes at least so I ll see how far I walk. Congrats on finishing day 2. emoticon

I finished day one yesterday. I went water walking for 15 minutes and tomorrow day 2 will be DH and I mile outside. I get a lot of steps through out the day at work but need to do this for consistency
