Just completed day 3 of Week 1. I walked 1 mile in 20.04 minutes. It felt pretty good. Now on to 1.5 miles on Friday. Hope everyone else is doing well too.

Just finished Day 3 of Week 1. It took me 35 minutes at 2.7 miles per hour to walk 1.5 miles. It wasn't easy but I did it!! WooHoo! (I also did Jillian's 30 Day Shred this morning)

You can record dancing on your fitness page. I think there are several types dancing listed.

Day 2 went ok....did some dancing with the hubby and as they say got down....lol....Wasn't sure where and how to record it. Other than on the printed page.

When thinking of your weight loss and fitness motivation & weight loss goals, remove all fears by:

1.Focusing on the good
2.Focusing on the objective
3.Focusing on the goal
4.Focusing on the solution
5.Focusing on my aim
6.Focusing on the true destination

35ANGELS: No tears allowed emoticon unless they are tears of joy. We all have to start somewhere. Don't think in terms of time, but rather in terms of distance. YOU DID A MILE! We can all have muscle issues when first starting out or even when we have been doing it for years. Stretching is your best defense against muscle cramps, along with sufficient electrolytes (potassium & magnesium). "Eat a banana" is our favorite thing to say when muscle cramping is an issue. Also, limit yourself on the number of hills you do when starting out.

emoticon You will have good days, bad days, really bad days and absolutely awesome, amazing days. But each kind will have one thing in common - you will have put one foot in front of the other and kept moving foreward. From now on only emoticon

It's not just you.

I signed up a while ago, but haven't officially started yet. I keep forgetting to walk according to this team.

Anyway, all last Spring and Summer I sucked it up and walked most every day with a friend. We'd worked up to three to four miles a day and we did it in less than an hour and a half. Then the snow came...

I walked when I could, but not regularly at all. I regained the 15+ lbs. I had lost and it has WRECKED me! I took my dog Tuesday morning. We walked 2 miles in an hour and ten minutes, but he did have to stop every ten feet to hunt and stuff. But I felt so slow. I thought I was good and loose when we got home, but two days and a couple of hot bubble baths later (plus a LOT of stretching), I'm finally not hobbling so much around the house. My calves were screaming!

I'm going to go tomorrow, and I've committed to go every day, alternating 1 and 2 miles. I really need to jumpstart this weight loss. But I'm not going to worry about my time for a couple of weeks until I'm back in "stride", so to speak.

I just wanted you to hear from at least one more person who is challenged by this program. But I have to lose 170 lbs, so I can't give up. You'll do fine, but take care of yourself. You don't want to be sidelined completely.

I can't wait to see how we do!

small steps lead to bigger ones............. emoticon emoticon emoticon

“There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.”

When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world
