Hello All

Myself and 2 of my co-workers started week 1 on January 9 and as of yesterday we have successfully completed week 1. We walked a total of 5.12 miles in week 1. We are excited about moving up to week 2! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hey guys starting up my first week on the walking program. I plan on running a the OKC memorial 5K in couple of months but I haven't ran in about a year. So I decided to start out walking before I run. I'll complete this program and then start the one for jogging. Can't wait to do it.

I'm fighting the timeless battle between good and evil - eat a donut or eat a piece of fruit.

I want a Boflex body for Christmas and could he be wrapped in a big red ribbon please =)

I started Week 1 yesterday, a day early. It was 50 yesterday and 45 today so I was able to walk outside.

I love walking outside - the treadmill does nothing for me. LOL Lizzie

I just finished day one as well. I'm on the treadmill, and don't really enjoy it. But I find, if I put something interesting on the TV, this morning I put Joyce Myer on; I find the time goes by more quickly.

I managed 30 minutes on the treadmill and I do NOT like the treadmill, but there's a couple of feet of snow outside and more coming down. I'm sore today and planning on doing a yoga video to stretch out. It'll feel good in a few weeks, I just know it!

Today was a great start for the new year. I am so out of shape that I'm lucking the first video was only 8 minutes. Lol I am happy I got in 2 15 minute walks to round out the day. My daughter on the scooter had me picking up my pace. Looking forward to starting tomorrow with the video of the day. Loved that I found it on YouTube and was able to stream on the living room TV. Makes life so much easier. Now I am rounding out my first week playlist so that I will not have to search for videos the rest of the week!!! emoticon

Today was also my Day 1. I set a 15 minute timer, and I started walking. At the end of the timer I walked back. I wound up walking just shy of 1.5 miles in 30 minutes, I got farther than I anticipated. I think I'll do that again day after tomorrow and try to improve my time.

I just started Week 1 today and didn't even realize it... I went to my fitness tracker to record my walk this morning and found the link to join the 5K Your way walking program. lol

W1D3 1.5 mile walk completed yesterday. It was hard in spots but I did it! Took me 36 minutes (I'm not the speediest person around) but I going for endurance not speed right now.

I am on my first week of the program and so far have done 2 of the walks as required. Normally, I do walk every day, but shorter walks I incorporate into my day, aiming for a minimum of 30 minutes of walking per day. And that's great, but I rarely put in a longish walk (especially over the winter!) -- such as 5K --- and hope this program will motivate me to do longer walks on a regular basis -- for fun and fitness!

W1D2 completed yesterday. 1 mile in 22 mins. (2.7 mph, pretty much the same speed I'm using on the treadmill right now). I'm looking forward to my 1.5 mile walk tomorrow!

Well, I am at week 3, and have followed all the steps so far. I love the mapping feature too, I had no idea that some of the walks I have done were actually as far as they were. I cant wait for the big walk, just to see If I can do it. Good luck with yours and hopefully we will both get it done.

Although it is nice to be important....it is more important to be nice...words to live by.

Don't let your limitations define your life. Learn to work around them and keep going!

Today was my 1D (1st day) of W1 (week1). Actually walked 1.27 miles just walking to the bank and back. I had no idea that I could walk that far this easily!

I'm looking forward to this challenge and especially like the routing maps, very cool!!
