My favorite site is www.commonsense.org. It is good for parents and teachers- helps evaluate the best that exists in all online media, for educational purposes. It evaluates apps, movies, you name it, and helps parents and teachers to choose the best for their children and students. It also has great lessons and media on teaching tools on helping students of all ages understand how to stay safe online and use online resources wisely. Definitely worth checking out!!!

They have archives that can be used for daily warmups with a quiz at the end for data! We are using these across the building for ELA data. I am also the CCSS guru for our building and have been trained in it for 3 years already. If anyone has any questions or needs resources, I would be happy to share info!

Two of my favorites:
www.tarheelreader.org You can read a story, have it read to you, write a story, rate a story, and save favorites. All for free. Did I mention it works with big mac switches to turn the page? Great if you have a kiddo with adaptations in your room.
www.superteacherworksheets.com This is well worth the $20 a year. It even has smartboard links. I have laminated worksheets on file folders and given them to students with a marker to use. It makes for great morning and independent work tasks.
Any change, even a change for the better, is always accompanied by drawbacks and discomforts.
The Arizona Geographic Alliance has superb lesson plans and free reproducible maps of about everywhere.... for those who teach K-8 especially there are GeoMath and GeoLiteracy lesson plans that make it easy to use high interest geography content to teach and reinforce the subjects that get tested so thoroughly.
You can join for free for even more access, but most things are just available to all. Most states have Geographic Alliances and you might check them for interesting stuff, too!

I use enchantedlearning.com regularly. It is $20 for the year, but for what you have access to, the $20 is worth it.
If you focus on results, you will never change. If you focus on change, you will get results.

Twistynoodle.com is a great site, especially for those younger kiddos. You can make worksheets and personalize them for whatever you are wanting to do.

Here's a great FREE resources for keeping track of all of your books in your classroom library! Pros: -It's Free! -If you have an iPhone or Droid you scan barcodes (doesn't always work, but helps a lot!) -Great way to keep track of books coming in & out of your classroom! -Print reports of student activity Cons: -If you don't have an iPhone or Droid, you'd have to type in each ISBN number -This is very tedious, depending on how many books you have.
I haven't used it completely yet, I've just been putting in my hundreds of books today, but seems promising. Is easy once you get started :) http://classroom.booksource.com/account/login.aspx
