Great ideas!
The goals will stay the same for each subject, depending on the chapter/unit, etc. The objectives are the daily activities that get us to the goal, so that will change depending on those..I'm also trying to incorporate language objectives for at least reading & math (gradually moving over to it), so I won't have a lot of room.

Thanks so much for your help!

Progress Board: Title: Dive Into Learning! When divers dive, their goal is to go deeper (ie; higher grades), so your progress board could show class averages based on where the diver (the class) is. Use blue bb paper w/a scalloped surface on top. Have the end of a boat off to one side and a scuba diver in the water. You'll need to be able to move him around according to where the class is. Zero would be the water's surface and 100 would be the ocean bottom, along with a treasure chest there!

Door: Use the term S C U B A to mean Students Can Ultimately be Best Achievers! Have SCUBA going down the side of your door, with the definitions/explanations coming straight out. Again, blue bb paper. Find a b&w drawing/clip art of a scuba diver. You can enlarge it if necessary, and either add a small photo under the diver's mask for each child (if you are handy with a camera), or you can write their names on each diver.

Goals and Objectives: Does this have to be changed daily? Again, blue bb paper (it IS the ocean! :-), Use pictures of sealife: fish, starfish, sharks, whales, coral, etc. Laminate if you will have to change it daily, and write each objective on a pic with a dry erase marker. I like the idea of maybe using the starfish (laminated) as the objectives on a beach scene, and the name of the beach could be the goal?

Hope that helps!

Goals & Objectives - "Our Cruise's Itinerary"? I'm trying to come up with something linking it to maps, charts, nautical - that kind of thing.

I love Cynmom's idea for the growth board - that's cute!

I'll keep thinking. :)

Your door could be an ocean scene with the fish, etc. having the students names on them.
How about "Surfing to the Top" for your growth board? "Diving Deeper" for goals and objectives?

Look at pinterest. Put in your topic and you'll get lots of ideas. I've seen many on the ocean theme.

Hello all! Our theme next year is ocean themed, or Dive Into Learning! I'm going to be limited on time when I get into my room to unpack from cleaning & what not, so I'm trying to sketch some bulletin board ideas. Keep in mind I'm VERY limited on funds, so I may not be able to get a lot of things for it.

1-Goals & Objectives board-I will (& have to) post goals & objectives for each subject. I need a name for it that goes along with the theme..(Btw, I'm going to have a health challenge where the kids can get rewards for doing the healthy homework :))
2-Progress-I will also have a bulletin board dedicated to showing class averages/growth
3-AR goals!
4-Calendar with classroom info/events

Anyways, thanks for any help! :)
5-My door! I want to have my kids' names on it :) No clue what to do
