It was a good weekend. I ate well. and really thought about running. I think I made it .25 miles before I felt like taking a shower and going shopping. I'm feeling the ice cream need which I will not give into. I think I will download some pod casts.

I had a good day today. I was weeding in the garden about 5 hours. I think that should almost count for something. I do know I wasn't eating while I was out there.

Hi'ya GDY... sure! I kinda forgot about the "color" aspect of it like what we were talking about in earlier posts. I must have gotten too much sun during my vacation... fried my brain. haha!

Maybe we can add that aspect for August... try to challenge everyone to eat a wide variety of fruits and veggies!

Sorry about the delay everyone... I was out of town on vacation and thought I would have internet access so I could still log on Spark, but that was not the case. :-( So, we will get our challenge started NOW!! heehee

I like your idea a lot, Lynn! I'll get a Scoreboard started and I will use your description of how to post (hope you don't mind!!) emoticon

We can keep this thread running for any questions, requests for support, and other discussion. The scoreboard will be where we can just post our emoticons to show our successes! emoticon
If this works well, we will keep it going for August.

I thought of a good challange. First it would have a new score board each week or month.
You enter your name on the score board and each day you go back and do an update. This way it will stay clean looking and you will beable to see how everyone is doing.
for each day you add after you name an emotion that responds to what you did that day. If you eat well you could put up a food item, If you did cardo that day add a runner person, if you did strengh training add a crunch person. I think these are the 3 hardest things for me. So after day 1 you would go back and edit you post and add emoticon emoticon emoticon meaning you did all 3 things. By Thurs you could look like emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon or you could be creative and put up all different things. If you had a good week you could add a emoticon on Sunday.
What do you think. We could start on monday. The score board is not for chatting so we would have to have a score board chat room so we could show support for each other.

I'm glad challenges will start, they are great motivators. Speaking of motivation, how about a photo challenge of some sort? Start with a before pic and have a certain amount of time to produce an after or something like that.

We did a color of the rainbows in food recently on Fab 40's. also part of it was giving yourself a emoticon for all the work outs you did outside.

I have a goal to lose 4 pounds by the end of the month.. so I am up for a goal!

Lynnbaum... yea, sometimes you just need a "individual" workout so you can make it as easy or hard as you want. Classes can not always meet the needs. I don't go to classes often, but I always found they were TOO MUCH for me! :0) hahahaha!

I do pretty good on the food part but really hate working out. I bore the hell out of myself. There is a reason I enjoyed jazzersice until our instructor went soft. There was a group of us hard core that just wanted to kill ourselfs for that hour. The instructor couldn't gear the whole class to us few but if you don't even break a sweat in an hour somthing is to easy and we needed to kick it up. I quit and took up walk/jogging. I need a budy.

GDY... I like your idea when you mentioned "colourful." I've read articles on Spark (and other websites) about trying to eat a wide range of colors in your foods b/c it can mean you're getting lots of different types of vitamins and minerals.

Maybe one challenge could be a food one... posting how many colors (with the name of the fruit or veggie) you ate every day.

Then, also a fitness / exercise geared challenge??? hmmmmm....
