I agree....baked apples...especially granny Smith are awesome!

I really like cauliflower. I make a "creamed" soup that is so good with cauliflower. You use evaporated milk, not cream...and puree the cauliflower.

That's so cool you painted your room Hibiscus, Sherio! Hibiscos tea reminds me a lot of cranberry juice, possibly cuz its tart and the same color. It love it, too... but have to be careful because it lowers blood pressure.

O baked apples are the bomb! LOVE them with honey, cinnamon some walnuts and raisins. Bet they'd be good in my crock pot... will have to try that.

Elisa...Granny Smith apples NOM! love those too! Baked Granny Smith apples... now you're talkin!

What about Cauliflower?

I like hibiscus tea, it tastes so yummy plain, no sweetner needed, and it's such a gorgeous color! I painted a room that color, love it!

Iced coffee... I prefer all my beverages (except water) hot even in summertime... so no.
Marshmellows are great on cocoa or if you are making somemores... other than that, um... no.

Hibicus tea...(popular in Latin cuisine) hot or cold or not at all?

I agree on the calories, but I love the texture so have it from time to time.

My girls got me started on it, we used to make it at home with hot tea, coconut milk, spices and honey.. (yeah no calories there! ha) so it reminds me of them whenever I make it.

Italian ices are too ice-y for my tastes...
But I do love Gelato... the type in Italy, not the stuff I've had here from a container. No doubt the ambiance had something to do with it... eating from a container in front of my TV isn't quite the same! ha

So what about Gelato?

I just put that in there bc I thought more people would have eaten it since its a popular New Years Eve treat with champagne.

Which ones?

The stone crab claws are like little parrot beaks. You've got to break them open with a hammer... the shell is super thick. When they harvest them, they're only allowed to take one claw, and throw the crab back to grow another.

They have a "beefier" taste to them. The texture of their flesh is cool. Its like little fibers all stacked up parallel to one another. When you eat them they kinda dissolve in your mouth into the fibers to chew. In that way the texture reminds me of the heart of an artichoke.

I haven't had them since I moved from Florida 20 odd years ago! Let me see if I can find a pic for you...okay this one shows they cracked and ready to dip and roll! NOM!!!weektips.com.br/viagem/restaurantes-em-mia
mi/

The flying fish roe is little balls(eggs), you can get it flavored with wasabi (the green type), orange(the natural) but I like it colored black with squid ink.. they just look cooler that way! They are a little bigger than the "o" on this page. They pop in your mouth and are salty. NOM!

I really love brie with thin slices of pears.

Love crab, although I prefer someone to do the cracking and picking out of the shell for me.

Really like king and snow crab in part because the meat pulls out easy, dungeness and blue are okay... I prefer the soft shell.

Stone crab claws totally rock especially if you've got kids because you can show them how to pull the muscle and make the claws work to give pinches.

Gentle ones!

How about flying fish roe or caviar since we're talking seafood?

I have only had it grilled once. It was good. I found you can microwave it 3 min per ear in the husk and it comes out juicy and all the nutrition stays in. I love corn just about anyway except canned creamed corn.

Asparagus grilled, boiled, creamed or raw? I like creamed and grilled.

All of the above! We marinate our ribs and then pre-cook them in the marinade on the stove, so then they just go on the grill for a few minutes with sause...very tender!

Now I'm thinking of BBQ foods! Do you like corn on the cob on the grill, or another way?

jelly beans are a delicious, love chewy candy, especially gourmet ones, but brachs are good too!

okay, White Castle burgers, aka sliders, belly bombers...delicious or dud? my daughter is coming to town today, and she doesn't have a White Castles's in Springfield, MO...so she'll probably want to make a run and "pick up a sack"!

Depends on your definition! I like hard boiled eggs made into egg salad. I love Cadbury Creme eggs but oh the calories, I don't care for the marshmallow eggs with hard candy shells. I usually buy myself a few chocolate covered marshmallow ones.

What about jelly beans? Delicious or dud?

I like fresh spinach in a salad, and frozen spinach cooked with a touch of vinegar. Hate canned spinach-ooooh, slimy!

I also have a recipe for a spinach and ricotta sauce for spaghetti I really like.

What about cabbage? I like it most every way but cooked with corned beef for St. Patrick's day. emoticon

Yeah, I'm not so big on a plain hard-boiled egg..but I like them in egg salad, or deviled! I do an Indian Inspired egg salad which is very light and tasty, with cilantro.

I like corn tortillas, but usually go for a multi-grain one with fewer calories and added fiber.

Filipino is similar but less spicy. Lumpia are sort of like egg rolls.

How about Borscht? I recently had some for the first time and thought it was yummy. I like beets anyway.

Yes, that is a good description of Brazil nuts.

I like most dried fruit but beware-big calories in a small serving. I use raisins the most in my cereal in the morning.
