I had never heard of her before today, but I find her very inspiring. She has such passion for flowers and has acted on it, creating beautiful (and useful) things just for the love of it & to share her passion with others.
I can see why you want to visit this place. The beauty of the flowers is overwhelming and to truly appreciate the garden; you need to be there.
Perhaps another will take on this gorgeous hillside. One can hope! The pictures are awesome.

I did some research on this place b/c I was thinking it would be cool to visit since I'm not that far from Lake Arrowhead. Unfortunately, last spring was the last time it was open to the public. The lady who did the planting, Gene Bauer, has retired. Too bad I didn't learn about this last year.
And apparently Mrs. Bauer has a book out of botanical prints. I like this quote: 'More than 30 years ago, a stranger was admiring the Bauers' hillside garden and asked if it was an occupation or a hobby, Bauer recalls.
