Okay, I found a new starter for me. 1/2 whole grain bagel (I like costco's) spread with 1 wedge Laughing Cow cheese and if I am feeling decadent, 1 slice shaved deli ham (lean of course). For just about 200 calories it gets me going. Also, I found some more yummy recipes on their website laughingcow.com/Recipes.aspx
yum!

Sounds good, but I'm starting a new "bootcamp" and I'm only eating one slice of whole wheat bread with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, coffee and a banana. Need to lose this weight!!!emoticon

My current favorite breakfast is a scrambled egg with fresh or frozen spinach served on a corn tortilla with a little bit of salsa.

You have all given me great ideas for breakfast. The English muffin pizzas sound great. What about wholewheat bread pizzas with low-fat cheese and spaghetti sauce?emoticon

Thanks Ladies,
I probably should have titled the topic "what do you eat for breakfast?", but I thought I'd get more responses with this desperate one. I also searched for breakfast under sparkrecipes.com and came up with some good ideas, including freezing for future meals.
.
And I do need to consider the non-traditional items more. I LOVE cold leftover pizza for breakfast, the high fat version, but I think I should stay away from that one.
.
One spark member makes breakfast pizzas with whole wheat eng muf, turkey or non-meat sausage, chopped tomatoes and lowfat cheese. Going to the store now!
thanks again for the support and great ideas.-donna

try a wrap. get a high fiber tortilla. fill with whatever you like. don't get hung up by identifying some foods as "breakfast foods" and others not fit for breakfast. i second the person who eats morningstar patties - i've been eating the "sausage" links lately. back to the wrap - veggies, eggs, sausage (real or fake), lo-fat cheese, tuna, chicken.

I really hate to burst everybodys turkey bacon bubble but regular bacon is far better for you then that stuff. You may want to check into it.

I also love bacon. It seems that you ladies are enjoying such delicious breakfasts. I only have two slices of wheat bread and I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, and coffee. I'm going to try Purplepeep's patties. They sound good!

I have lost 1-1/2 pounds, but I don't know how to enter it. Could someone tell me how to do it?

Thank you.

I hate oatmeal too. I love turkey bacon.
My usual breakfast these days consist of 2 Morningstar Farm Breakfast Patties (they are soy but taste like real sausage patties and are really yummy), low fat nutrigrain eggo waffles, a small low calorie yogurt and some sort of fruit. They are all sorts of things out there you can eat that are healthy, it just takes some figuring out.

Switch everyone over to turkey bacon. It sucks for a little while, but now I'm so used to it I don't like all the grease that you have to deal with the regular bacon.

I'm usually 2 eggs on an english muffin kind of breakfast eater, but the last couple of days I've put smoked turkey on my egg sandwich (no cheese no meat typically) and it was great.

Starbucks also has a "protien platter" that has a boiled egg, an ounce of cheese, a tiny bagel and a Tbspn of PB to put on the bagel with a few grapes and half an apple. It is my new favorite thing. I'll get that and a tazo tea and I'm set for the morning. (really enjoying the new vanilla robios tea they have).

Don't eat a pound... Eat two slices. Slowly, happily and with enjoyment. Guilt-free and as part of your own breakfast, not as a "snack" and track it. The worst thing you can do is ban food because that only makes it more desirable.

Banning food is a diet strategy. Follow a lifestyle instead and give yourself time to make your new, healthy habits stick...

I basically eat the same breakfast every day but I really like mine. It's Flax Plus Cereal with a handful of toasted, unsalted almonds and half a serving of Craisins. I love the taste of the mixture, it provides fiber, keeps me full and satisfied and it's easy. Egg-white omelets with a favorite filling are a nice change of pace and so is oatmeal from time to time...

Who says leftovers don't make a good breakfast, too?

I HATE OATMEAL AND WILL NOT EAT IT!!!!!!! I've been eating the Jimmie Dean De-Lites or some egg beaters with cut up canadian bacon and some 2% shredded cheese. I bought a reaallyyyy small pan to make the egg beaters in. It works great with an english muffin.

Try fruit and yogurt or Ezekiel 4:9 bread with a TBSP of nut butter and banana slices.
You can always break the mold and have Lunch or dinner items for breakfast.
Good luck!

I need some ideas and advice. I usually have problems with what to eat for lunch but lately I cannot figure out what to eat for breakfast. I am tired of cream of wheat every morning with dried cranberries.... I don't want to eat eggs everyday and I don't want to bake muffins with 16,000 ingredients..
.
I know, you're saying GET OVER IT and eat your oatmeal, but I am afraid when I cook that bacon for my son I will add a few extra slices into the pan...

.
help!!
any ideas?
