This is the wonderful part of spark people. I, too, have fallen by the wayside. I stopped logging my food, which gave me permission to eat things that were not healthy, because I didn't have to answer to myself. I joined SP January last year, and I lost 15 pounds! I have been watching my weight, and though I haven't gained all of that back, I have lost all of the muscle I was building and gained back most of the fat in my hip region. I realized I was in trouble. I decided to stop ignoring it and get back on the wagon, so move over y'all. I need a seat! We will do this together. I feel such support on SP, and now I am accountable to myself again. We can do it!
It's not what you have, it's what you do with it that counts.
have used my past experiences to realize that no matter how many times I stumble I have not and do not plan to give up completly, so giving my full efforts this time around will just save me the heartache of having to start over again in the long run.

Well it happens to all of us, at one time or another. And I'm sorry you gained weight back, but your here now and it won't be long and you'll be at your goal! Welcome back! P.S. I've put on a lot of weight since you've been gone and I've been here all along just not working it, so your not alone with the battle we can do this!

Please don't look at your past negatively. Okay, so none of us is where we'd like to be, but we've all learned from our experiences. For me, that has been a part of the process. Without my past experiences, I wouldn't be ready to take advantage of the opportunities I have now. It's all part of the journey. As long as we're still trying we're on the right path!

I understand exactly how you feel. I started with Spark People last January (2008) and was doing quite well, then I just quit going online and checking in, then quit watching what I ate, just kind of gave up. I joined Curves, and was doing okay with it, but then my asthma got real bad and I have not been there in 3 months. I realized after my yearly check-up that I need to get back on track. My doctor did not say a lot, but I could tell she was disappointed in me, and told me that I need to start taking care of myself better. So, here I am back again and this time I will keep going. We all need to just keep helping each other stay on track.
Good luck. You will do it. I am going through the some similar and I just pray that I get back on track. My health has caused me to stop exercising until my doctor find out why I am in so much pain. I am limited to what I can do even walking hurts. I get depressed and eat. I have put back on the last 5 pounds that I lost last month but I am on the road to recovery because I stopped being an emotional eater and I am just trusting in God to help make the right food choices.
After losing 20 lbs with sparkpeople I lost sight of my goals last MARCH and have gained just about all of it back. Now I am starting the year out right and adding some consistancy to my efforts. I hope to get involved and could use a few words of encouragement.....pretty disappointed in my lack of follow through last year. :(
