You are right nuts are good but not 1/2 a can and nuts are high in salt. The pork tenders would of been good if they would of been with fresh fruit or a salad not just in a pile.
It's a new day and I had a hard day yesterday. It's like going through withdraws but I did it because what I ate on Sunday is not how I want to eat for the rest of my life. I will not hang myself because of 1 bad day. Time to move on. I had oats w/cinn. and apple chunks and coffee after I made it to the gym. Yes I got up and got to the gym this morning which is really hard for me.

nuts are protien, they help to add muscle, and those were better to eat than say a donut! Your doing good!

The OL had a setback this weekend. I broke the rules in my book. I didn't add nutrition to my meals and I opened the can of nuts I had in the house. 1 portion is 1/2 of can husband ate other half. It all started with not eating fruit in the morning. Now knowing nuts were eaten I will move my tracker Tues morning because I think a bunch is water.

Elipical and yes it does. I will tell you that it gave my inner thighs a work out at the higher level. When I see people lift weights that are to heavy I just think if they would only lighten the weights a little they would get more benefit from proper form. I feel form is a # 1. In Jazzercise there were what I will call 10# swingers. They would of been better off doing 5 or 7 pounds and be lifters not swingers. 115 pound person should not be swinging 10 pounds in each hand. Anyways you get the idea. I don't want to be an elipical hanger with my but stuck out and just huffin from side to side. Person on other elip. was about 200 pounds and it wasn't all fat. I'm thinking she could of bench pressed that machine. I might have to google max. resaults on eliptical. I better make sure I have good form myself before I start increasing the level. BTW YWS look out the OL is losing that spare tire.

I always find the incline tough so my guess is that more incline at a slower pace is actually going to burn more fat than no incline/fast. Does the treadmill report calories?

Girl, I think it's what u can handle for me I'd have to do the lower one, with not good lungs and just getting back into really working-out, but if u have been doing it awhile and can handle it go up some.

I have to say I was at the gym tonight and the yws next to me is on level 13 out of 20 and she said she does it for an hour. So what is better going faster 7 out of 20 speed 140 for 30 min or 30 min level 13 at the speed of 101. Who knows which is better? I need to burn fat.

I do love gryros, but they are really evil. Your way sounds like a reasonable compromise.

So that makes us 1 to 1. The old lady went out for lunch today and really had to think of what I wanted from a burger gyro type place. So far today I had oats/strawberries, a light yogart so I figured my best option was gyro meat on salad with Tomatos, cucs, no greek oil, no feta, small half of sourcream sauce (it was a gyro)oh and onions and a water. BEMORESTUBBORN I'm glad to see your on my side I might need you for extra support. I better post to that young whipper snapper and make sure she hasn't run the other way.

Oh boy! I'm not touching this one with a ten-foot pole! When I was forty-six, it took me fifteen months to lose forty pounds, and that was with daily running, lifting three times a week and strict portion and calorie control (no ice cream, Lynn {wink})... it took my daughter, who was then twenty-two-years old, only six months to lose the same...

Having said that, however, I have faith in you, Lynn! We "old gals" stick together and I'm rootin' for you all the way!

GO LYNN! GIVE IT YOUR ALL! DROP THE ICE CREAM! LOL!

Ok so that is 0-1 and good answer. Did I say that I am a 50 pound loser? This gives me experance at losing. Did I say we have a garden at work and I have lots of squash and tomatoes to eat. I love salads. 0-1 I better set my alarm to get to the gym in the morning before class. We are talking about rebounding in class this week. Or should I say 1 of the things.

Sorry Lynnbaum, but my money is on THE1BABII4U, mostly because she is a newbie. Personally I lost weight pretty well for the first 4 months or so of my lifestyle change, but now I've been losing and re-gaining the same 5 lbs since April. Good luck to both of you - keep us posted on the progress.
