You guys are great! Thanks for the positive remarks. It's all stuff I would say to a friend, but we're never as nice to ourselves as to other people. I need to work on that too, I guess! I'm a great mother of two dear sweet kids, love my family, and am kind to others. That's the most important part. I just have to be willing to give myself a pat on the head (and a kick in the pants!) and work on getting the outside in order. Thanks again. I knew the rant would draw the positivity and you all didn't disappoint me! I'm feeling much better today and appear to have even been in my calorie range! Hooray for me!

Hang in there! Just go back to what was working for you - one step at a time. I keep falling off the wagon too, but I keep reminding myself that I am still doing better than when I started, and that helps keep me going. Good luck!

I understand. I've done the same thing. I was on such a roll and so proud of myself, then I got a bad virus and spent 2 days in bed and it took me 2 weeks to feel well enough to go out and exercise. Now that it's been so long, it hurts all over again and I'm not able to run as far as I was before. So that's depressing me, too, but we can't let it stop us! We are not the same people we were when we started on this road! We are better! We are stronger! We can do it together! Let's get going!

It's not what you have, it's what you do with it that counts.

Thursday is a perfect kick butt day. That's right the work week is just about over and your ready to go. Make a plan for tomorrow, what are you going to have for breakfast, lunch, dinner. What are you going to do for exercise, and most important what are you going to do when you are not feeling strong. You can do it girl, for yourself and all the short women in to world!!!

In one of the SP emails, it made the analogy to a game of tennis. You don't quit when you lose a point, you keep playing the game, the set, and the match.
It sounds like you've identified some of the barriers to your success such as weather and eating out. That's great! Take some time and come up with some strategies and a plan for what you're going to do in those situations. Having a plan ahead of time makes it easy to adapt when issues arise. You don't have to stop and think.

I understand, lets just start tomorrow with fresh start and try to do the best we can, huh? I have been super busy too and the hot weather makes it hard to want to work out. Tomorrow's another day. Let me know how it goes!

So there a few weeks ago, I was feeling good about the small goals I'd set and how I was doing a pretty good job with them. Made the "Brag a Bit..." topic and everything.

Since about a couple of weeks after that, I haven't been doing diddly toward my healthy habit goals. Eating poorly, not exercizing, not getting on SP daily like I was trying to do to keep focus.

So I'm wallowing. Feeling bad about my lack of motivation, feeling fat and frumpy. Doesn't help that it's ten thousand degrees outside, I've been out of town a few days and eating out the whole time, etc. But when you feel like that it's hard to get your attitude turned around.

So I'm seeking some encouragement, I guess, and maybe a kick in the pants. I know wallowing only begets more wallowing and more unhealthy living, so I'm TRYING to regain my positive attitude and get back into my more healthy habits. Because without that, my ticker's going NOWHERE!!!
