I am a stay at home mom and my biggest challenge is finding time to work out with an active toddler running all over the place and refusing to nap!

You're right. I have to just get back on the horse. I've been pretty lax for the last week; not tracking or really focusing on my few goals. Right now I'm tired and trying to get motivated is not on my radar at all. I think I'll go to bed and try to be more positive tomorrow.

Ugh yesterday was bad for me it was my birthday & I ate out.
It's not the eating out that was bad but the suprise of not knowing I was going out. I didn't plan my other meals for the day correctly. emoticon
BTW
I like to weigh in daily too but will only count the Friday weight ins & that will be the one I dread.

SJT138 - Our bodies are so sensitive to water, etc. It is disheartening, but you probably need to make a choice. Many people only weigh once a week and are dead set that to do it anymore is cruel and unusual punishment. There are others though that weigh daily and get to know the ins and outs of their bodies. It doesn't phase these people to see an increase of 2lbs. one day because the next day it may be down those 2 plus some more. You just have to know yourself and then go with it. If you are going to do daily then you have to get in the mindset of just major changes and go with it. In my opinion the same is true by only doing it once a week, too. By weighing once a week you may hit one of those bad days.

I weigh daily (it keeps me in check and diminishes those shocks), but I only count Fridays.

I took this weekend off from my diet and gained 4 pounds. How did that happen?

Just being home around food is a challenge! I've not been buying junk food. If I do, it's tortilla chips and salsa or pretzels. Though my doctor said not to eat pretzels unless whole wheat. But I was good last night. I was laying in bed not able to fall asleep and I didn't grab something to eat. I drank some water and forced myself not to go to the kitchen. Baby steps!

Even though I'm not feeling it so much, I'm trying to start off with a positive Monday. Fake it 'til you make it, they say...!

Maybe I'd do better not to weigh in on Mondays.

Fitmama I understand exactly how you feel, I seem to do well for a while and then slip back into my old ways, consistency is also my problem that I hope SP will help me with. I have family in town this week so my challenge is to keep up my fitness and not eat too much, it seems everything revolves around food

During the school year I am the same way, but I have had a major summer set back I didn't see coming. I am SO BUSY this summer taking grad classes, very active Girl Scout leader, and working part time at the school as well as working on developing some new methods of teaching and working on specific areas of the curriculum with the other 3rd grade teachers, BUT the routine is just not there. I am living a giant unstructured weekend!!!!!!!! I have technically found myself back at 124, but I just can't quite change my ticker back. Not sure if I will. Not sure what is the best thing to do for me mentally. Continue to think like I did when the weight was all the way off or get real with it? I have beat myself up to the point that I ate because somebody was mean to me - ME! Emotional eating is huge with me and when I am down in the dumps I eat more. How tragic that I am the one making me feeling down in the dumps. If I said the things to anybody else that I say to myself I would be divorced with no friends.

Hang in there and make it work for you not against you. I am strong believer in "off" days because it seems to take the pressure off of the other days. Have a craving? Make a note of that craving and enjoy on the off day? Might be easier to be good one day of the weekend if you know you can relax with it a little bit on the next day. Just be sure you are staying in your range the other days or the off day will just defeat all of your efforts.

Last night was a challenge for me ... I was home alone and bored. Not a good mixture. I had every intention to workout and do something productive, but I had opened a bottle of wine and well ... the rest is history.
I did stay on track for the entire week so I guess if I look at it that way 1 out of 7 isn't bad. I just need to be aware not to do it again the next today.

I think everyone has those kinds of weekends if not all the time then at least sometimes. And for me it's more often then not! LOL! oh well I like what your saying to "plan" to have those days and still be with-in range. Because after all we are not perfect, and to me life is to short to be so worried that I may "over" do it sometimes!

I am the same. Work days are like clockwork, weekends are out the window.
I have learned to accept that that's just how it is. There's no point getting depressed every weekend and feeling like you failed. Plan for it to be like this.

Do you have cheat day? Well I guess you do! Cheat days shock your metabolism and give your brain a break too. If you crave something, have it on your cheat day.

If you eat perfectly for 5 days, you can give yourself a bit of space on the other 2 days. PLAN to only drink on one of the days and PLAN to have some snacks. This way you are in control.

For me it's the weekend. Work days are mostly ok - I have a routine and not alot of downtime to get the munchies. On the weekend, I'm more likely to snack alot, have a few drinks, not focus on drinking my water, etc.

Not feeling so positive today; dwelling a little on not a great day and on turning 35 in September and nowhere near the goals I had a year ago. I'm not so good with consistency over any lengthy period; hopefully SP will continue to help with that.

Need to refocus...it's HyVee day tomorrow...
