I had a really good dinner tonight. I started with a no salt tomato soup and add ed some other veggies and some soy cheese. I am really full. This is a higher cal. day. 1586 I think. I don't think I kept up my 250 deficit but that's ok because I think I set my goal for 1000 for the week which is 5 days at 250 or I have to whip out the calculator. My goal was to get under 120 and the reward would be a wii fit. I found the wii fit and ordered it so now I am trying to get these last 3 pounds off before it comes on wed. I have 1 gone. I am feeling great and have thought about eating ice cream and then laugh. Those ice cream day lets just say the thought of the wii fit is stronger than the need for ice cream. That and the fact I am leading a study group on stop depriving your body of healthy nutrition. emoticon

I know what you mean. I want a wii fit but I don't want to wait. Somebody said they might beable to get me one and my daughters turns and ask me if I lost my 10 pounds yet? I had to laugh because she was right. I am back to working hard.

When I first starting my weight loss journey, I set up rewards but I found that I needed or wanted them sooner than the weight came off. For example, I wanted to get shorts near the beginning of the summer. I wanted an Ipod once I was running more than 20 minutes at a time. I don't have the patience for pound lost goals.

I'm finding enough motivation with posting my measurements at the end of each month. Showing my progress to you, keeps me motivated. I love sharing my progress with Sparkies.

Maintenance range. 127 to 132.

Great reward. I will see you for a few salads. I want to get to and below 115. Lets get it done. Do you think we can be at our goals by the end of July? That is the time frame I'm trying for. I am making sure I log every thing in. I'm thinking that I wont eat 1/2 a container of ice cream if I have to log it. I would look like the big way out of control onk. I could just eat it and not record it but I really want that wii fit and that means I'm not getting it until I reach my goal. I really want it before my daughter goes to school this fall or before Christmas. Lynn

OOH good reward tan in a tube. I have used that one. It is really nice. You have to use it every day and that is a good one for signing in and logging food every day.

I try to set monthly goals and each day and week work on achieving them then at the end of the month I'll reward myself.

This month, I'm working on meeting my Best Life goals for Phase One (Thank you Bob Greene and Oprah). I'm also working on signing into SP everyday.

As for my rewards this month, some new nail polish and Jergens Natural Glow lotion.

Rewards are pretty good motivation for a lot of things. I like to go to fun places (movies, zoo, park, etc.) or get something I like (make-up, DVD, sports equipment, etc.)

Fit Mama you need you are too funny. Remember to take some time for yourself. Many of us have gotten ourselves into situations where we are not happy with our bodies, because we forgot to take care of ourselves. I know that this is so much easier said than done, but I just thought I would through it out there for a reminder.

Good for you guys! I'm not good at setting specific goals and then the rewards to go with them. I'm usually too busy thinking through potty rewards for my little people!!!

I find it hardest to keep up with exercise, so for every 750 minutes I log, I get to order a new magazine subscription. I love magazines but hate paying newsstand prices for them. Would love a wii too. And an elliptical machine.

Ya, i find little things like that-things you want, but don't necessarily need and aren't too expensive make good rewards. My last goal I bought 3 new workout DVDs. :-) Good luck!!

When I reach my ultimate goal weight my reward is my next tattoo, but I also have that journey broken down into smaller goal weights like getting highlights, or a new DS game. :-) The Wii fit does sound fun though i don't have a wii.

I figure it this way that if I put $5.00 away every week and every pound they I should have the $89. by the time not only will you be able to get it locally but it will be on sale. I have been trying to lose these 5 pounds for a year. I thought 5 wasn't very much and it would be real easy so I had to add another 5 to make it 10. Please tell me "How do we think?" Lynn

My reward for myself....I have lost so much that I HAD to go shopping for smaller sizes...the new clothes one I bought last year....slide right of of my hips...what a GREAT feeling and reason to go shopping. emoticon
