Last year 2010 during the holiday season I was trying to reach a goal of being under 200 by the New year. I was so focused. And I made it too.
This year I have only a few pounds to reach my new goal of 135. I had already reached my original goal of 145. It is harder this year. I am more lax and I have been seesawing up a lb. down up 2 and down. i have discovered you can't let your eye off the goal, you have to stay on track. That is if you really want to live a more healthy life style and be fit.
So I am once again focused and not going to slip and slide any more down that slippery slope. Too much at stake. I don't want to see an avalanche and if I let my bad habits creep in, just a little it could get out of hand.
So far I feel good about where I am.
It's almost two years since I embarked on this weight loss journey, from 333 lbs to 138 (today).
Thats quite a feat.

I've made a big effort this past week, tracking food, drinking water and more exercise than usual. Paid off when I stepped on the scale this morning and saw I have lost a pound. Just hope I can keep it going now, weekends are pretty tough.

I've been maintaining my weight loss, haven't lost anything in 2 weeks, but haven't gained anything either..which is pretty good with it being my birthday and the Holidays and all...but what was really cool...last night I went to our Company's Christmas gathering,some of these people I haven't seen since last Christmas....every one of these people commented on the weight I've lost, how great I looked and wanted to know how I did it!!! Woo Hoo! Ask me if I didn't feel great!!!! What a confidence boost! Yay me...Yay Sparkpeople!emoticonemoticon

I hit my interim goal (185 by Christmas) a bit early, but I didn't finish my novel in Nov. (Not even close!) I have only 1.5 lb left to go for the challenge, but I'm going to take a week off.

Week #5, for me.... 286

Stayed the same from last Monday's weigh-in after losing a little and gaining a tad over the Thanksgiving holiday. All in all I'm very pleased and back at it 100% with one final family birthday dinner tonight at BJ's

Looking forward to December and excited about finishing up this year in much better shape than I started itemoticon

Congrats to those who had losses!

I lost this week. I'm back down to where I was when I started so that is a good thing. I've been trying something different recent and it is working for me. I eat when I'm hungry and what I am hungry for within reason. Just eating smaller amounts. By not denying myself what I want, I'm less likely to binge on it. My sodium intake has been lower and that is helping alot.

Wow, looks like people are really making progress around here! Way to go TEACHINMOM, SPEEDY143, KAMAPERRY, KARENSTURN on your losses!!!
I had a good week, too. I'm not weight-tracking, but I am measuring my progress in fitness gains. I shaved 1:25 off of my 6-mile Sunday run--best time to date 52:35!

I'm down 1 lb this week. I did ok on food but didn't make it to the gym enough last week. So that is the goal for this week, get to the gym more this week and of course stay on track with the eating.
