Even though I needed the demonstrations at first, I later took out the demos before each exercise to keep it running smoother. I've squeezed some workouts in 10 minutes, but the last month of a program will have you doing some half-hour workouts.

Ohh I was curious about this game and it sounds like its what I'm looking for! How long is a workout and is it without much interruption? I found some similar ones on the wii were so short and interrupted I couldn't get a streamlined workout!

I used this for over a year and enjoyed it. I feel the stiffness/soreness happens to me every time I start a new workout, but you get used to it eventually. There's a few workouts that it loses track of me and I get frustrated, but I really enjoyed the "Hit the Mitt" drills. It's fun to throw the strikes and duck when the coach calls for it.

As much as I was losing weight playing the game, I was unsuccessful at sticking to my diet and only made about a 10 lb weight loss. I still play it on occasion, but Your Shape 2012 is my current Kinect game.

As with all things, you put in what you get out. The game is probably suitable to all levels of fitness, assuming you make sensible modifications. I do not remember if I had been doing other workouts prior to that or if I overdid it after a period of inactivity. I have/had several workout games, so I went back to one that was more beginner (or wimp) friendly.

I have it but only used it once or twice. I tried the beginner's workout and was so sore and stiff I felt nearly crippled for almost a week afterwards. I remember liking the set up, but even the beginner workout was too much for me at the time. So while I have not used it again, the fault lays with me, not the game itself. Its been a few years, so I do not remember if the exercises were body weight only or had weights added. I don't think any of the exercises were complicated in the beginner's workout (any difficulty was due to my level of fitness, not due to crazy exercises). If I ever get in better shape, I would definitely try it (or whatever updated version of it) again.

I have been wanting to get the UFC Training game for the Kinect, because I am looking for a boxing game of some sort. This looks like it would be a fun game, but I want to know if anyone else has tried it and what y'all thought about it.
