I tried one when they came out and did not like it. It seemed to make things worse, a lot worse. While it did seem to allow for a smaller area, at the same time it made the view darker and blurry to the point where it did not seem to want to register any movement, not even a basic wave to activate anything. For me, Your Shape Fitness Evolved went from some minor annoyances due to available space to being completely unusable once I added the zoom. Your usage may vary depending on your own lighting and room set up. Also note, if you have to move the zoom around (didn't snap it on quite right the first time or experimenting) it can scratch up your kinect (if you care about that sort of thing).
Yeah I have one and it works great I think best buy has them for 19.99 or that might just have been a black friday sale but they do work

Yes, it is the Nyko Zoom (I think it's called) and slips over your Kinect. It is a plastic casing with a lens that allows you to stand closer and further apart. Reviews have been solid with the only real complaints being distorted pictures and trouble sensing certain hand gestures.
While shopping this past weekend my hubby spotted a new Kinect camera/sensor thing that is smaller and is meant for those of us with space challenges. You are supposed to be able to stand up to 40% closer and the angle isn't as wide. Not sure how well it works but I am thinking I might pick one up (about $40 +tax Canadian) as I am getting tired of my EA Sports telling me to move back (if I move back much farther I will be in my kitchen.....LOL).
