Thanks for the update. I will be doing a pass on the self defense game from what you all are saying. I am testing out your shape 2012. So far too much fun. I will give it another test in the morning. I kind of went through most of the beginning ones to see how I like it. I think I will be doing some cardo in the morning.

I have played the the game a few couple times and the self defense classes are kinda silly and a couple even ridiculous, but the other parts of the game are pretty good. I like the balance and reflex parts of the game the best. It is a game I will add to my workouts!

No problem, I saw you played and it's in the alley of what kind of workout games I enjoy. Take your time... I know Skyrim will.. emoticon

PS: If you need an assistant to play and review a game or two for you... Hehehe

Sorry for the delay, I got a bunch of games at once. I did play it a little bit, but there are several things to unlock and I want to take a look at those before posting the full review.

So far, the game has some pretty interesting lessons, most of which seem to go for groin kicks. I did one of the cardio work-outs, which was decent, but nothing to write home about. I haven't done the zen workout, but hope to have something by end of the week.

Any word about an uncoming review Ryan? This afternoon, I WILL go back and start the task of finishing the rest of my UFC game. Once I get my 100% on that, I will be interested in the Self Defense Training Camp.

Ok, tried it this morning. It wasn't bad, but I am not entirely sure how much it would help someone actually in trouble. Of course I figured that anyway before I bought it. I actually did break a sweat though, so that's good. Oh...and it freaked out my son and his friend this morning with all the groin kicks...BONUS!!! LOL!

I went out and bought it today, along with a couple other used Kinect ones for Yule. I wanted to try it out tonight, but I'm super sleepy.

Well, good news. The game arrived yesterday and I'm hoping to have a review up within a couple of days. Looks pretty interesting so far, but I'll let you know more later.

I'll stick with the UFC Trainer. But if they had an art that I was really interested in, like Krav Maga, I would be sold. There's no school's in my area for Krav Maga or Capoera within several hours driving distance, which would be more expensive for a month than one game.

I'm also interested in checking it out. The main instructor seems sort of goofy for an MA instructor, but it might be worth it for a change of pace.

Also, for Tai Chi, videos by Dr. Yang Jwing Ming are pretty solid if you're interested in "traditional" Tai Chi forms. He can be a bit tough to follow due to his accent, but I think it's worth it. The videos are pricey ($32-$40), but there are clips on YouTube that you can check out.

This game was announced very late in the season; about a month or so before launching. Not sure why they kept it so quiet.

From the videos I've seen, it looks very similar to Gold's Gym Cardio Workout for the Wii. You will perform the various moves, some of which is to a specific beat.

I'm seeing if I can pick up more information, but Ubisoft has several games for Kinect that they've launched recently and I'm not sure how pressing this one is to them.

I was wondering if anyone was looking into this game? I came across this one and it looks like something I'd be interested in, whether or not it actually helps me with defending myself. I particularly am interested in seeing what Tai Chi it has.

Here's a description from Walmart (Xbox's website doesn't even have it that I can find):

ENHANCE YOUR STAMINA Stay physically fit with cardio exercises inspired by martial arts and kickboxing. A variety of fitness routines will keep your heart rate up and ensure you are in shape and ready to defend yourself if necessary.
