I love this game. Playing it again to try and find all the tapes and tarot cards. The battle sequences are more like kickboxing, so I love that part. However, my Kinect has a terrible time finding my feet, so moving around is hard, and that running section was also IMPOSSIBLE for me. Glad to see I wasn't the only one who had an issue with that stupid section on the train!

Great review in the link! I'm definitely interested in picking it up. My fiance tried some sort of UFC game but couldn't get into it - there were too many moves to memorize. I think he and I could enjoy this game together. That is - when he's not playing Halo!

LOL, you must be talking about Crackdown. Fun game. Now that you mention it, I would love to play it on Kinect. Think about the jumping, running, picking up stuff, etc. Would be fun.

Be sure to swing by and let us know what you think of Rise of Nightmares. Meanwhile, prepare to be owned in MW3. ;)

Now that's how you get a workout in this game. lol
I do alot of game swapping with friends, it's way better than trading games in and only getting HALF my money back. (I hate you Gamestop!) So recently, I traded off a game for this one and just haven't found the time to try it out with Gears 3, Dead Island and now MW3. It's sad I don't remember the name of the game I traded off, but it was a sequal to a hit game that involved supercops eliminating gangs while collecting orbs all over town.

LOL, that is awesome. I feel bad for you and glad at the same time. You got a ton of exercise on that one little section. Yeah, that had to be frustrating, but glad you got by it. I haven't heard of anyone else having the same issues.

As far as I remember, I don't recall any other running part. There is some ducking and jumping, but I think that is all for the running.

FINALLY I got off the train!

I have tried so many times to get past the running in place section at the end of getting off the train. I have easily spent 2-3 hours overall. I tried everything, almost gave up on the game completely several times. But I am so tenacious, I just couldn't give up! I recalibrated my Kinect tuner and tried again-still no luck.

So I convinced my dear hubbie to help me. I figured maybe he could get it done, since he is taller and faster? Anyway, I drag him into the livingroom and tell him "watch me do it once, so you will know what to do". I proceed to do the last section one last time to show him how and guess what? I made it through on my own that time. Go figure!

I don't have any idea why it worked that time and not the 103+ times before. LOL Fortunately, the game auto saves right after that, so now I can hopefully enjoy the rest of the game! And I did get some great aerobic exercise by repeating that part so many times. I don't think there is much exercise in the rest of the game is there? But it will be fun!

I enjoyed it. This is the first game where you control your movements, so it can get a little wonky at times. Otherwise, it is very gory with a great deal of profanity; just a heads up for those offended by such.

Otherwise, I really do like it. You get to chop up zombies, kick them, block, them, etc. Like the review mentioned, don't expect a game that plays like Left for Dead or other zombie games. This is a unique, movie-like game.

I'll try again today. Might even let my husband do that section and see if he can get through it for me. I'll let you know how he does. I have tried many, many times with no success!

I remember having to do that part twice. If I recall, lifting my knees high seemed to work. I'm certainly not the fastest runner around either. If you still don't get by, let me know and I'll see if I can try that section again tonight.

I bought this game recently, but I can't get past the part early in the game where you are supposed to run in place to get off the floating train pieces. I feel like I have tried everything. No matter how fast I run, how much I flail my arms, how high I llift my legs, I still can't get to the end of that section of train and onto the land. Any suggestions? It won't let me skip that part, so I can't move on in the game. Really frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

OK, I finally have my review up of the game. Follow the link for a written review as well as a quick video review I did of the game. Overall, this is a creepy game that definitely is not for the kids. It is fun, but won't get you sweating. There are parts where you'll run and jump, but they are very limited. bit.ly/mVDfhr

I'm a good way through this game and will post up the review soon. I would love to read other folks thoughts on this one as well. It got hit pretty hard by the general gaming press, but got pretty positive reviews by Kinect centric press. More later....

I just picked this title up. First impressions: very atmospheric, like Hostel if you've seen that. Movement controls are strange, but you get used to it. Combat is hilarious. If I have some free time (Bwahhahahah) I'll write up in more detail if anyone would like to read it.

Not much is known about this one, but below is a video shown off at the Tokyo Game Show. I'm sure we'll hear and see more about this during June at the E3 show in CA.

UPDATE - 10/6/11 - I have a review copy and will post my thoughts on this one soon.
