Just played Kinect Adventures for the 2nd time, and I am sweating so much...super fun and definitely got my heart rate up. I played for 35 minutes, but what activity should I log this in as??? I used Calisthenics moderate last time, but was just wondering what you guys use??? thanks!
This is one of the few games we have that's active... the rest are the dance party games. I love it... but didn't realize there was more to unlock... makes me want to hook it back up and use it daily instead of once a while LOL.
I love reading about people's fresh experiences with the Kinect. I can stand in Best Buy for hours and watch people try out the Kinect. Their faces light up and after playing it for several minutes, they go and seek out where to buy them.
Kinect Adventures is an amazing game that is a joy to play no matter the age or fitness level. Some people overlook this game because it comes with the Kinect, but they chose it for a reason. I'm glad you are having a blast with it.
FYI, not sure if you noticed or not, but when the game first starts up, there is a little area in the bottom left that is for demos. There are three demos on the disk: Your Shape Fitness Evolved, Joy Ride, and Dance Central.
I didn't get my Kinect until Christmas and have been trying out all my new games. I like the rallyball game type and am very bad at reflex ridge. I haven't spent much time playing this game though, focusing on the ones that are geared toward fitness. I do think that it much burn calories though, since my heart rate is definitely elevated when I play.
Who all is still playing this? I haven't put it in for a couple weeks, but I have done all the adventures and free play modes, now I'm working on the time trial modes. Unlocked some nice gear for my avatar and all the Living Statues.
Not to mention, this is one game you can play with other sparksters or friends online.
Which adventure do you all enjoy the most? Which one do you enjoy the least?
Glad you are all having a blast on this. My kids love recording those living statues over and over. Personally, I was driven to unlock all the statues and avatar clothes, so I've finished the adventures. Now I'm working through all the free play and time trials.
Has anyone played online yet? I played one guy from my work online and then played someone from spark, who lives in Europe, online. It was magical. Almost like they were in the next room. It was so fun to see their pictures after each adventure.
This is my favorite game. My kids all yell like they are on a rollar coaster when the raft falls down from the top and raise their hands above their heads. We have unlocked three levels all ready on 4 accounts. The 3yr old I watch begs to ride the train. It is the obstacle coarse level. Great game. I am glad they included it. Has anyone done the statues yet? too funny.
