I'd love to be more specific and for some reason all I can do is say HOORAY! Chapter 1 of 80/10/10 is a beautiful introduction that starts out with some very basic and 100% valid points about us being basically frugavores. Duh! LOL
What would we eat out in nature? Nothing packaged, bottled, canned, dead. We would eat living plant food period! We also wouldn't wait for the microwave oven to be delivered from Sears, we would simply eat the food. People are sustained in the wild quite well simply by eating wild edibles greens and fruit. This is the way we thrive.
The blood type issue is a sham! He brought up on one of his videos that cows have several blood types but they all thrive on grass (not grain!).
Chapter one has wonderful charts that compare so many of the points of this book. He goes into great care and detail to deliver his message. A very eloquent book. There is not a word wasted.
We are all different in many ways, but our internal systems are very very much alike. There is no difference between the digestive system of a Type A positive blood type person and that of a Type O negative blood type person. There is no difference between the digestive system of a person whose ancestors are from the nordic countries and those whose ancestors come from deepest Africa.
If doctors were doing colon transplants, they could interchange colons as easily as they do corneas.

How do we know what we should eat? Take a baby. Put it in a room with a lamb and a banana. Which does she play with? Which does she eat?
This chapter addresses the questions: "Aren't we carnivores?" "Are we starch eaters?"
I find it a very compelling description of our bodies and the optimum way to eat. Gives us great information and, yes, arguments for those inevitable "I'm an omnivore" statements that we get when we describe the way we eat.
I don't like to argue with people about my food. But I don't like to let misinformation go by either.
Our entire digestive system is designed to eat vegan food. Dr. Doug goes on to explain why our bodies are happiest when we let fruit be the predominate ingredient in our diets.
