How do we know what we should eat? Take a baby. Put it in a room with a lamb and a banana. Which does she play with? Which does she eat?
This chapter addresses the questions: "Aren't we carnivores?" "Are we starch eaters?"
I find it a very compelling description of our bodies and the optimum way to eat. Gives us great information and, yes, arguments for those inevitable "I'm an omnivore" statements that we get when we describe the way we eat.
I don't like to argue with people about my food. But I don't like to let misinformation go by either.
Our entire digestive system is designed to eat vegan food. Dr. Doug goes on to explain why our bodies are happiest when we let fruit be the predominate ingredient in our diets.
