Arghhhhhhhhh! Sorry, just had to say that. Frustrated with lack of results but working on it; I refuse to give up. I think Spring will definitely help my mentality to achieve physically. Great job to those of you are doing well and for those struggling just keep telling yourself you can do this and it WILL happen! emoticon

This month started out great, getting a 16lb loss since 1/1/2011, then starting monday 02/07/2011..this week was horrible for my weight loss program, by the time I was through driving my Aunt, on monday, then on tuesday and wednesday driving my dad back and forth to the VA hospital for eye surgery..thursday, finally a day to rest from all the driving, then out friday night for an early valentine's day dinner. Whooooo, I am pooped! emoticon
Now, I have to get back into the swing of things...I live right next to my parents and my b/f and I help care for them as best as we can...but I have my own physical limitations to deal w/ and w/ wanting to get this last 110lbs of this year, I have alot on my plate....can I screammmmmmmmmmmmmm now?! emoticon Anyway this site has really helped me, I have found good people and great info,...anyway I hope the rest of the month goes smoother....

Think you need to listen and follow your therapist's advice (for now). If you follow what you're being told, most likely with time you can get back to strength training and core work. We all have a set-back every now and then. Take care and Be safe. emoticon

Thanks everyone for the encouragement -- I am still able to walk a bit everyday which is a very good thing. I'm looking forward to having a stronger core! And I know I'll get there soon! Thanks again.

It is far easier to MAKE time to exercise than it is to FIND time to exercise. You want results???? MAKE it happen.

Listen to our therapist until he/she gives the to go ahead to do more. You don't want to hurt your back more. Good luck.

Don't know if this will help you but my dad suffers from recurring problems with his back and he finds that the only thing he can do is walk when he's in pain.I know it's not ST but it counts as cardio,even if you go on a short walk.Hope you get better soon.

So, I have a weak core and back pain. My physical therapist is now recommending I don't do anything EXCEPT her core stability exercises. I guess they take about 10 minutes and it IS important, but I guess I'm a little discouraged that I can't continue adding minutes of strength training and more cardio to my week. I feel like I'm just going backwards.
