I made the BEST dessert last night
6 peaches, halved and pitted
1 can tart cherries canned in water (drained)
2 cups white zinfandel wine
1 stick cinnamon
3 oz. white chocolate baking bar
1/2 tsp. butter
in a large frying pan bring the wine and cinnamon to a boil
add the peaches and cherries, cover and simmer 10 minutes or until the peaches are tender
remove the fruit and place in serving dish
continue to simmer the wine and cinnamon, stirring often, until it reduces to about 1/2 cup of syrup, discard the cinnamon stick, drizzle syrup over fruit
in a small bowl microwave the white chocolate and butter for about 1.5 minutes, stirring once, until melted, drizzle over the fruit
serve hot
makes 6 servings
