I know I should be patient but after 2 years of this I am getting depressed. I did talk to someone who gets the same shots and he told me this last one took a long time to kick in, so maybe it is just this batch.

try to be patient. someone i work with hurt his low back really bad--like possibly needing surgery. his doctor wanted to try steroid shots, which usually work within a week or so if they're going to work, but he didn't get any relief for almost 3 weeks but now he feels much better. still not 100%, but a long ways from where he was, so hopefully you will get better once you finish your treatments

It has been 3 weeks since I got the shot and I am not impressed with it so far, maybe the next 3 will be better.

My biggest letdown is going to be if my IT band starts back up again, I did ask the doctor if he could just cut it out and he said no I needed it....I told him I know but it is such a pain, literally!!!

Got my shot today, I am going to take it easy for a few days then I am going to start slowly to try and get back to being myself.

Hi again Sheryl, My PT friend says he's only heard good things about this treatment and thinks you'll be happy with it.

Thanks Ace. From what I have read, seems everyone does okay with it....not sure what my other options would be. I do know either I find something that works or I quit running.

Sorry, I've never even heard of it. I do have a PT friend and I will ask him about it as well as members of my running club. Good Luck!
Ace.

Have any of you had Synvisc put into your knee? I am going to get my first shot and wondered how everyone else did with it.
