If youíre overweight based on the BMI measurement then Iíd say the max speed you can lose kilos safely is 4kilos a month. i.e 1 kilo per week. Anything more, and your body starts burning greater and greater amounts of muscle, rather than the fat youíre trying to lose.
If youíre in the average range and not really overweight, but want to lose those last few kilos that prevent you from having a flat stomach, then losing even 1 kilo a week is getting dangerous. Itís fine for a week or 2, but not on a continous basis. Since your body doesnít have that much excess fat to draw on, thereís a greater likelihood itíll turn to burning your muscle mass when you are burning calories. Actually its probably still ok if you donít mind losing a bit of muscle mass along with the fat, but Iíd be slowing it down to 1kilo a fortnight, to make sure that it was fat coming off and minimizing muscle mass loss. Iím in this category myself and I reckon the best insurance to minimize this risk is to start incorporating some weight/muscle training into your workout, to signal to your body that you still need your muscles and will help maintain it.
If you drink soda, cut it out or only drink it on a special occasion. My husband and I rarely go out to eat and when we do I have a root beer or something like that so about once a month...something to look forward to. Also, don't eat after 5, 6, or 7 at night depends on what time you go to bed but leave at least 3-5 hours between dinner and bedtime without having anything but water this way it isn't sitting in your belly all night. Shrink your portion sizes, or have many small meals throughout the day. If you feel hungry drink water and it might go away. Eat more protein than carbs...actually you could just eat protein, fruit, and veggies and subtract out all the carbs (potatoes, noodles, pop, etc) and it will drop fast but not a good way to go cause once you start eating those again it comes back really fast. I tried it but gradually added back the carbs and it worked ok....start by only eating 40 carbs a day until weight desired then add 5-10 carbs a week and gradually you will maintain your healthy weight...it gives your metabolism a makeover.
i mean, yeah, losing 10 in a month is tough if you are trying to lose fat... but i lost 5 in 2 weeks bf my wedding. it was easy, bc i had traveled for my bachelorette party. much of my weight was water weight. a low sodium diet and some good sweat and i was home free. i am sure only 2-3 lbs was ever "fat" weight.
pne thing to consider is colonics. both my sis and my girlfriend do this. (not my idea of a good time, i'd rather just look a little chunkier). this is also a trick of "the stars." most personalities get this done bf big hollywood shows (not lieing, try to book a session prior to an awards week). while it wont get rid of "fat weight", it will get rid of bloating. you;d be surprised how much girth that can add... yes, it will come back if you eat a lot of food after, but its a short term quick fix... besides, cleansing the colin is supposed to be healthy for you. who knew??
I am new to spark people, i am struggle to loose at least 6 lbs, great that you have lost 5lbs so far. currently i am at 134lbs need to loose more weight for my wedding, do you have any suggestions how to loose weight...reasonable
you can't lose 10 lbs in a month. it's impossible when you have only 10 lbs to use ...when you have 40-50-100 lbs to lose than you might lose 10 lbs in a week but most of it is water aim for a healthy 4 lbs/MONTH loss and you'll be fine
