My new goal routine is to walk 3-5 miles every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and to try to get at least one more walk in on the weekend. So...I am headed into town in a little bit to get my miles in for the day. Thankfully, it is a beautiful day out there :)!

Yes! I walked 3 miles inside with Leslie because it is a rainy day but yesterday my hubby and I did a 6 mile loop :).

emoticon Walked to the Library and Home (1.74 Mile)
emoticon Then went to the Gym and did 30 minutes of Strength Training. First Time I've been to the Gym this week. I did try to go before work yesterday morning, but there was some kind of "Computer Glitch" and no one's keys were working to open the door.
emoticon And I did do a short Kettlebell Workout at home on Monday.
emoticon And, I have Walked at least 30 minutes every day. So far we have walked 913 days in a row.

Walked around the lake yesterday (5.4 miles) and did a 4 mile indoor power walk today. Staying away from strength training while I nurse this dicey knee.

emoticon Just completed my First Kettlebell Workout. I had to modify a LOT of the Squats on the Video and some of the Swings/Slings that twisted the wrist too much I just Skipped. No idea how many Calories I burned. I DID Stretch afterwards so I hope I am Not Sore tomorrow, LOL!!

TV really helps the time go by on the treadmill or bike emoticon .

I cleaned two house today and ran some errands. I was pooped when I got home but I decided to put in a DVD anyway and see how far I got. I ended up making it through 4 miles with Leslie.

emoticon I am seriously thinking about changing Gyms. The problem is that I joined Anytime Fitness before they opened the Gym here in town so I got a Special Discounted price. If I go somewhere else, it will cost me Significantly More than I am paying now. That is one reason I am trying out some of the other Branches of Anytime that are in this area, just not quite as Close or Convenient. I did discover one that is less than 2 miles out of the way on my way home from work (did I tell you that already?)
emoticon I went by there today and watched a whole episode of "Castle" while I rode the Recumbent Bike - 14.08 Miles in 60 minutes.

Sounds like it might be time for a different gym, Jeannie. With the amount of time you spend working out every week, you definitely need a place that is welcoming and where the equipment is well maintained. I belonged to Curves up until I left for my trip in July...that's were I lost my weight and developed my walking routine. I am still trying to decide if I need to join a gym for strength training. I live about 20 minutes from town and I'm not sure if I want to spend the money. I am also not sure if I am knowledgeable and motivated enough to do it at home using weights. How long have you been going to the gym and what do you think?

emoticon Went to another Gym on my way home from work this morning -- Another Branch of My Home Gym. It is about 12 miles from the house, and 'Only 'about a mile and a half "Out Of The Way" on my way home from work.
emoticon 50 Minutes (3.12 Miles) on the Treadmill
emoticon 40 Minutes (10.00 Miles) on the Recumbent Bike.
emoticon I am not 'Crazy' about my "Home Gym" which is only about 3 miles from the House. The Trainer who works there seems completely Uninterested in anyone who is not getting Private Training, and MANY of the Machines & Televisions are often 'Out Of Order'. Not to mention the Toilets and Showers that don't work. And this is in a New Building. The Gym has only been open at that location since January of This Year.

I got out early this morning before it got too hot to get my walk in. I still felt bloated and sluggish for my overindulgence last night but I am determined NOT to let it get me down. It's a new day and I intend to drink lots of water, eat lightly and healthy and, as well as the three miles I got this morning, maybe do another 2-3 with Leslie Sansone this evening while the "kids" are out at a party. Tomorrow will be a travel day so I won't get much exercise but I am looking forward to getting back to my normal routine on Monday.

I recently completed a Virtual Trek around Australia and Sydney was one of the places we "Visited". From the Google Research that I did Australia is a Fantastically Beautiful Country!! Well on Saturday along the towpath, we did 8 miles and boy was it cold, but we kept going, and pulled the scarves up around our faces..lol. Lots of people out walking their dogs as well. Had long chats with ds and ddil and then we had a game night when we got home..they all had takeaway, they had pizzas and my dh had doner meat and chips(french fries) but I ordered jacket potato, no butter, tuna and sweetcorn and it was yummy

Walked all week, but had one day off when I felt really bad. Did 7 miles outside yesterday and today we are going with elder son and wife and 2 dogs along the canal towpath. Well wrapped up as it is perishing, so will post tomorrow how far we went
