My desired weight is 120...because I know that would help the rest of my health issues disappear and/or make it possible to function well for many years. I weighed 110 when I was married, and would love to be able to get my wedding dress on. The biggest problems I see would potentially be the excess underarm and tummy skin...but I'm going to try.

My desired weight is 180# because a doctor told me once that if I got down to 180#, I would live to be a very old woman. He had given me an EKG and my heart performed perfectly. I hope it still is.

Hugs from J and thank you for your support.

I'm complicated (you knew I would be didn't you?)
In the home I grew up in, with birth dad and (step) mum(real to me) I was an only child, mum couldn't have children.
When I traced my birth mother I suddenly became the eldest of 6!!!!!!! Which was a shock for me, I knew about 1 of them as she gave birth to him before dad left(not dads). Costs a fortune in Christmas cards now. lol

Favorite fruit: Love fruit, almost any kind, but especially love bananas and strawberries.
Favorite vegetable - I'm with Karen on this, I love green peppers. Also really like baby carrots.

Favorite fast food - Zaxby's - I love their fried chicken strips and texas toast or McDonalds - Quarter pounder with cheese or chicken McNuggets and fries, lots of fries

I guess I'm sort of the same way. I like lots of different colors, but I like them for different things. I like to wear blue (it brings out my eyes). I like purple a lot, but don't wear it too much. I like teal, but am not crazy about the teal/brown combination that has been popular this year. I like yellow, but like Kathy says, that isn't a good color on me. I just think yellow looks like sunshine and summer and happiness.

I also think I could have enjoyed nursing, both the patients and the pay, and like you say, they are in demand and you can get a job almost anywhere. I also love teaching, but if I could go back and do it over, I would have started to do it much earlier in life. Other people my age are getting ready to retire and I only have 10 years in with the school system.

I wish that I had gone into nursing...which I had planned to at one time. Instead I got caught up in the whole artsy crowd in college and ended up with a BFA in Theatre. After being a stay-at-home mom for years, that degree isn't going to help me get a job to help with college expenses. If I had been a nurse, I could get a job just about anywhere these days! Sigh......

I would like to meet Eleanor Roosevelt and one other gal, but I'll have to remember her name. I'll be back. emoticon

Thought I'd post a new question of the day today: What famous person, past or present, would you most like to meet, and why?

If you notice I didn't list any sides, it's because when I eat ham potpie I only ham potpie and nothing else. My second favorite MEAL that I actually eat with sides is roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, baby peas, and salad with homemade buttermilk dressing.

I just love food period, but my very favorite meal is definitely ham potpie. It is a PA Dutch dish of ham that is boiled to make a good broth and then you put potatoes and sort of a flour dumpling into it. We usually eat it with a touch of vinegar. It is wonderful, and it tastes like home.
