It sounds silly, but I literally start writing whatever comes into my head. Most of it is junk, but there's sometimes a sentence or two that work.
I don't know if any of you are familiar with Ann Lamot, but she wrote an awesome book on writing called "Bird By Bird" which talks about ways to get over common writers' problems. I'd HIGHLY recommend it!
