The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired." -General George S Patton, U.S.Army, 1912 Olympian
I love walking, so I walk in Spring, Summer and Fall. I don't do much walking in the Winter, as I am afraid to fall. I do prefer the cooler weather for walking, as I can't take too much heat. I am happy that I moved into an apartment that has a walking track inside as well as a small gym. I will be able to walk even in the Winter.

I love the golden fall weather and do walk more, but cannot walk as much as I would like because of foot and knee problems, and our local pools close so I cannot get the daily workout there that I get all summer. I am harvesting and canning from my garden, which is physically demanding, and I visit the elliptical trainer at our medical clinic several times a week, but I still feel I have lost some activity when the pool closed. When winter cold sets in, keeping active will get even harder. I'm already ready for Spring!

No. I do zumba inside a gym, so it doesn't really affect me. But, on second thought, I do tend to go less because it's too nice to go drive to the gym,but I do work in my garden,so that might compensate a little.

I'm more active when it comes to walking and hiking in the fall. I live out in the woods and love to watch the changes which come with the cooler temperatures. I do have to give up swimming though, which I love to do in the summer. I entertain thoughts of swimming at the YMCA, but the thought of buying a suit and driving 15 miles and changing rooms usually ends with me substituting more hiking in place of my swimming.

I do a lot of my exercising indoors so the weather doesn't make a difference. But I am busy with other things during the summer which leaves less time for exercise. I find more time to exercise in the cooler months.

I love the fall. Heat is not my friend and I much prefer outdoor activities when the cooler weather sets in. All of this heat this summer (90s) plus humidity makes it seem even hotter. Cool weather, turtle necks, that is what makes me really happy! for asking.

I was wondering who on the team is looking forward to the fall and cooler temps? Do you seem to be more active during this season, and if not what season do you feel you are most active in?
For me, I know I get more active outside with the spring & fall. Spring gets me moving outside in yardwork and gardening, plus I enjoy the return of sunshine w/ temps in 60s and 70s. Now with the hope of Fall bring temps along those lines plus the start of school my desire is to get back to my outdoor workouts despite fall allergies (mold that gets stirred up from the tilling & harvesting of the fields around here plus ragweed.) Especially if I end up with days not scheduled to work. That is going to be my "definite" block of time for ME.
Anyone got home improvement plans for the fall?
I will be working on remodeling the shed we got this summer, getting the garden tilled in once its dry enough to do so, and hopes of getting the ground under the built on lean to at the back of our home floored. Then I can work on a proper site for the summer project of a family pool. I know 1 step at a time and listen to the body.
