I am working on getting back on track with my eating and exercise despite a lot going on. My current goal is to workout 3 times a week and up to 4, but I am trying real hard to get to 5 days even if its not long workouts.

I chair march 10,000+ steps per day to my own cardio mix. I am slowly getting back to ST after an injury. Hope to get back to 3 days a week in September.

I'm biking 5-6 days a week....approx. 20-30 mins a day, (6-8 miles per session) unless of course I'm close to one of my 'virtual' destinations then I start hauling ass, upwards of 10+ miles...hahaha
I alternate my days between distance and intensity.
One day I shoot for going more miles with less intensity, peddling faster, with not as much effort...the next day I shoot for pedaling at a higher intensity/peddling slower & harder, but going less distance/miles.

I like the idea of keeping the ol' body guessing...I don't want my body to get used to doing the same thing, day in and day out.

I'll be starting week 5 on Thursday and hope to start strength training at this time...perhaps starting off with 2 days a week and going from there.

right now I have been taking Friday's off...but I think this will change to a Saturday or Sunday because this is when everyone is at home.

Currently, I work out about 6 days a week, but that will go down to 5 when school starts. My schedule looks something about like this:

Sunday: Morning run/walk; afternoon jazzercise (aerobic & strength)
Monday: Off
Tuesday: Jazzercise (aerobic & strength)
Wednesday: Jazzercise (aerobic & strength) and/or yoga
Thursday: Jazzercise (aerobic & strength)
Friday: Off
Saturday: Run/walk and/or yoga

I try to vary my exercise because I seem to get the best results with losing weight and inches.

Minimum of 5 days at the gym. Classes, weights, treadmill...all depends on the time of day. Some evenings we try to get something in depending on schedule...hubby tries to be right there with me if work permits. he comes to the gym 2 mornings a week with me and then depending on schedule, he can get some evening stuff in with me too. one section of our gym is open 24 hours so if we HAVE to, we can go late night after the kids are in bed (they are almost 15, almost 14 and 9...and the gym in less than 2 miles away...no issues leaving them with the older one in charge! we try to get them to come with us during the day when school is out or in the evenings, but not always successful. its ok cuz they are active in sports, not total couch potatoes! even the kids "daycare" area at the gym encourages physical activity for the kids with kid size stationary bikes, Wii/Xbox with kinect, mini basketball court, etc) If I am having a good week, I do get in 6 days at the gym. But some weeks, my body is screaming for rest and I have to stop and listen to my body so I do not overwork or injure myself...then 5 days it is.

Morning routines never really change unless I do not feel well. But this week, football started for my boys so our evening routines will be upended for the next 3 months or so. So yesterday, instead of our usual Monday evening walk/jog followed by kickboxing, we just did our walk/jog at my younger son's practice site. Its at a park, so we had a nice road/trail to follow. Tonight will be relegated to running a couple errands then probably a walk around the neighborhood where my older boy's practice is. Not the BodyCombat I normally take on Tuesday evenings but it will do. At least I still get to do my Wednesday evening Combat class! hehehe. No decision on Thursday or Friday. With our gym membership, we have access to 3 locations. One is close to our house and one is close to where the boys' football practices are. So we can still get in something in at the gym (thinking of Thursday evening cycle class to make up for the missing Tuesday Combat...MAYBE!)

Yes, folks think we are crazy. Maybe I am LOL....

I shoot for 6 days, Sunday through Friday, but often I only get 5 days in and am too tired on Sundays. This week I have been alternating walk/jog intervals outside and walk/run intervals on the elliptical every other day. It's been fun. I'll probably stick with this routine for awhile.

A little of something daily. My Dr. suggested I cut back to 30 minutes daily. I would like to work up to at least 30 cardio and 10 strength training.
Ultimately, adding one day of full body or stretching such as yoga or tai chi.

4x per week cardio and strength training. Recently upped the intensity from 2 miles to 3 miles one day per week. Aiming to walk 3 miles everyday but going slowly (as we do) and gently pushing myself.

Forgot to add that I warm up and stretch even on my days off.

At least 5 days a week. I count my walk up to and back from the kids' school as a "workout" since I have to walk half a mile each way that day. I do yoga on Fridays and the other 3 days I walk either on the treadmill at the Y or in the park. I get over 250 minutes of cardio in a week.

I'm working on more strength training, I joined the Spring into Shape challenge, so that should help bring up my strength training this month.

And to think some days I used to only move when hungry.

4 days per week, but am now going to do 6 days

Peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of these things and still be calm in your heart.

I have purposely set my goals pertinent to me- knowing I will not adhere to going to a gym or attending classes, I walk a fifteen minute mile everyday. If I miss a day, I make up for it with a two mile walk. Thanks to my DH ("Get up, let's go!), have been true to this committment and feel great!

Strength + cardio (30 minutes total) on EA Active 2 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday... and I get some cardio (walking) in on weekends as I run errands and/or walk a mall. Just did Mall of America yesterday, took over 3 hours to complete!

I don't have a car, so if I want to go out and do stuff during the day, I gotta walk it. There's lots of stuff nearby that's a 10-20 minute roundtrip.

Karate class 3 times a week at 1.5-2h, and aerobics twice a week. Wednesdays and Thursdays I got evening classes so I only do a bootcamp video and if I have time the dog gets a quickie walk.

Since I committed to walking 1000 miles this year, I have to walk 5 miles, 4 days a week. It takes about 90 minutes each day. I've got 2 Kettlebell days for strength training, about 20 minutes each day.

I'm pretty focused with the fitness. Now if I can just learn to eat better...and less!

For me I work out min 10 minutes every day.

I'm trying to get in the routine of doing this to get in a good habit without thinking about it.

I also work out at the gym min 3 times a week for 30 min. plus.

Here is to being happy developing new good habits.

Are you starting with small manageable goals to make exercise a part of your daily life? Did you get off track during the last few months and put your ME time at the bottom of the list?

I did emoticon and finally got on the scale and took out the measuring tape to give myself a reality check and see how far the slip has gone while I loss my focus.

So for me to make exercise once again a part of my daily life as I balance work, home, volunteering, and dealing with other family problems or health issues I set my goals small for me.

My plan for January:
do cardio 3 times a week (more if I can)
the cardio needs to be anywhere from 10 minutes to 30/40 minutes
when I can due to my work schedule get outside and do a 2 mile walk or longer
make use of my elliptical, cardio dvds, and the Wii & XBox fitness games
try and do strength moves 2-3 times a week utilizing the SparkPeople strength workouts, videos, and exercises to mix it up and work different muscles.
