I have the Wii. I like Wii Fit, Zumba, and Just Dance as occasional fitness routines (particularly during winter when it's dark after work!). Haven't tried the Kinect but it looks like fun!

I have Wii and Wii fit but I haven't really used it yet. What I have used is Punch Out! for Wii, and it's a blast!

I use my Wii almost every day. It is difficult for me to exercise outside, but I can play with the Wii and burn calories. :)

I don't have either system, but am thinking about getting one. I am looking at the pros and cons of each system and trying to get advice from people who have played them both.

We have the Wii Fit plus and the X-box Kinect. I am currently working out to "The Biggest Loser" and "Dance Central 2". I am having a lot of fun getting sweaty.

I can recommend these games to those who have the Wii system for good workouts until your fitness level surpasses them. Wii Fit Plus has some great games, workout combinations, and I love that you can create your own workout routine with yoga and strength exercises. The Gold's Gym Cardio Workout is a GREAT game for doing shape boxing and you really use the entire body when doing the punches, ducks and weaves. Sports Resort has some good games too.

Now for XBox 360 and Kinect feature these are the games I've tried that had me covered in sweat, heart rate up and fun factor was HIGH- Kinect Adventure game- great one to do alone or with someone else. Dance Central I did last night and my son was laughing and cheering me on as I attempted the EASY level dance moves and did pretty darn well. Today, I got myself set up with the Your Shape game training workouts and it really had me focused, working on proper form, rhythm, and I had an accelerated heart rate and could feel those muscles burn with the toning exercises. Using the personal trainer mode made me have a great workout and the gym games gave me a fun choice for cardio and balance.

I use a wii and my fav. game is Walk it Out
a great walking game where you get points as you walk to the beat of the music and build up the island with those points. I love the way you can walk as long or short a time as you want, not just a short walk like some games

No, I don't own any gaming systems but my oldest grandson had the XBox 360 with Kinect and we had a ball doing the dance routine one and I could really work up a sweat doing it which surprised me since we were having so much fun! He is in college now so the games went with him :(

No gaming systems here. Instead I have a former drill sergeant who always has a new project in mind. As soon as the snow clears, we'll be raising the roof on a new goat barn, and this morning's breakfast talk was about building a sun porch where we can grow vegetables year-round. Okay, not traditional exercise, but it makes me feel good and burns a few calories.

I got a wii for a gift black friday. Early present and I got wii fit yesterday and 2 biggest loser games also! Set up the wii fit today and worked on it for 30 mins. It is a lot of fun! Tomorrow I will try one of the biggest loser games tomorrow.

I figure I am going to do each one 2 times a week. I think it will keep it fun and keep me challenged.

I was wondering how many members out there are using a gaming system for added fun to their workouts or ways to move and be active despite stress, demanding schedules, or to beat boredom and the couch potato attitude from forming. Do you have or have you used a Wii, Playstation, or XBox for fitness? How about the DS?

I will admit in my household we actually now have all these systems. This is due to me being married to a gamer who has passed on that passion to our 11 year old son. I am not big on gaming but when we got the Wii system a few years back- that I could GET into since I was moving. I tend to like to be busy and when I am sitting its usually to read a book and exercise my mind.

Recently we just added the XBox 360 system with the Kinect feature to our house as a Christmas gift from my parents. Let me just say- setting the system up last night was a workout all in itself due to the room I decided we had the most room to move in. I finally got to work off my holiday stress last night with my son and again today. Just doing the Kinect Adventures game has me sweating and laughing for at least an hour with a raised heart rate. Plus it was amazing seeing my son doing boxing and really trying to throw punch combinations with the Sports game where as in the Wii system he found a way to cheat the system so I don't feel he gets the same interaction.

What do you use and do you have multiple systems too? Which games to do like to do best?
