One of my goals is 50 army style pushups. I was able to do them for 4 or 5 times recently, then slacked off ST for almost 2 weeks and now can only do 35. I need to get back to the 50 soon.

Okay, I will set up a new post where we can track our progress in 4 weeks doing wall push ups. From there we will advance to say the close arm wall push up, take a team accountability and see if we feel ready to advance to a different version.
I love the suggestion about doing the wall push ups during work breaks- heck, I could do that on my 1/2 hour lunch too! Eventually we could work on the tricep area with another exercise.

I have been doing wall push ups to strengthen my shoulder and back muscles - I try to do at least 10-12 when I go for bathroom breaks at work.
Can't do with two permanately detached shoulder muscles.

I have permanent damage to my rt. wrist that makes it where I can't put a lot of wt. on it.

Wall push ups sounds like something I can handle....I have a hard time getting up and down on the floor with my knees being so bad...but will go for the wall....
I was advised to do wall push ups by PT a year ago and have not stopped since. I like your idea of accountability....lets do it:)

I do some push ups, but not enough. I need to be more consistent.
I know during my 1st year of SP I was determined in one of my major goals to do 100 pushups regardless of which ever variety. I met that goal with a bunch of varieties and then let it pass.
Now I find I struggle to reach that goal so I am resetting it for myself.
I just read a great article under the FITNESS tab for Healthy Lifestyles you should read (and don't forget to get those SP points at the end ) if this is a goal you've set for yourself too.

Lets see how many respond to this post and if you want I could set up a 4 week accountablity post to cheer each other on in our attempt to reach those push up goals.
