These are so cool, I would say go to a playground but people freak out about that when your an adult. Those exercise station at parks are fun when you have friends to do them with though.

I miss my cat so I bought a tiny stuffed one and I talk to it like I did to my real cat. My husband thinks I'm nuts.

Yesterday I participated in a senior citizens car wash and got into a water fight and it was really fun and quite refreshing in this heat.

Hey, that is the "Superman" exercise here on SP. Go to the Exercise demo area under FITNESS and they will show you the version to do which strengthens your core area and lower back!

Good one.

Here's the Baby Exercise.
Lie on your tummy on a pad or bed. Lift your head and arms a few inches off the floor. Impossible, you say? Why? Babies do it all the time! Hmmm!
Here's the adult version. Lie on the bed with your arms hanging off, and your chin resting on the edge of the mattress. Lift your head and arms so they are horizontal. Whew!
I was amazed when my chiropractor told me this is the best way to improve my posture. I've been doing it daily for about 3 years, but I still can't do baby style.

I have a summer cold and since I can't visit my husband in the hospital with it, I decided to make the best of it at home and cranked up my iTunes on the computer and sang at the top of my croaky voice.

Grandchildren are the best...we have more time to enjoy them than we did their parents.

Here's another I just learned from my grandson...march up and down with martial music such as Sousa - "Stars and Stripes Forever". Use a carrot stick for a baton and be the drum major. Drop into a chair and eat the carrot. Pick up another carrot and repeat.

It's an exercise and a snack!

I missed athese, but I watch lightening bugs every night when I put the dog out for her last pee. Sometimes I even stand on one leg and practice tree pose.

Suzy, this is a fun challenge! The inner child needs to come out often.

Since you are under the weather, I will add some challenges.

We missed a couple days, but with these will be easy to make up!

7-8 Pick a dandelion. Look at it closely. Touch it to your chin. If it leaves pollon, that means you like butter. It's important to know.
7-9 Sit on the grass. Watch a bumblebee. If it's dark, watch fireflies..
7-10 Stand on one leg while you talk to a friend. emoticon
Change legs often!

I will also be doing this on the tramboline. My legs don't jump very high, about all I could manage is lumping over a rope that is flat on the ground.

Okay today: 7/07 Thursday

Today's one day challenge is to skip rope or jump rope. If you don't have a rope no problem just jump and act like you are swinging a jump rope. I do this all the time when I tackle Coach Nicole's Jump Rope 10 min. Workout here on SP. Plus on the Wii game Gold's Gym Cardio Workouts they have the jump rope exercise which you use both controls to do- this is always a challenge for me but I get it DONE.

Honestly today- I am not feeling so HOT and have called my doctor's for an appointment. Yesterday all of a sudden I felt like a Mack truck hit me, got the chills, and severe nausea, but no fevers. Even the smell of dinner cooking for my husband and son made me ill so I headed to bed early. I've been up and down all night and resting most of the day. Still no fevers but no appetite, hunger, and now with chills I've got diahrehha. So I am doing my best to stay hydrated and sipping some Gatorade to keep my electrolytes up. I am trying to listen to my body- but I also want to do this challenge.

SO- it doesn't matter how long you do this activity for today what matters is you attempted it despite sickness, lack of motivation, what have you.

There. I just did 10 minutes. Most of that was picking it up off the floor, but I did have one time where I was hulaing for several seconds. There's lots of room for improvement. I like it!!! I'm sweating for sure, so it must have been a bit of a workout.

That's funny cause I just bought myself a hula hoop. I'll be burning more calories picking it up off the ground cause I don't know how to use it very well. Thanks for the challenge. I'll do it and then post.

Today's challenge is to hula hoop. If you have one lying around that's been collecting dust get it on and swing those hips. I know they are readily available in the major stores now (Target, Walmart, KMart, Toys R Us, etc..) If you own a Wii or console system that has a hula hoop game that works too.

I did the Super Hula Hoop activity on my Wii Fit Plus this morning and felt those hips and lower body muscles moving and a grooving trying to get my count up.

When you've done this activity today- come on back and either tell how you did your hula hooping or post this emoticon emoticon

Hi Team,
Yet again I am woefully behind in getting some new monthly challenge posts going, thanks for your patience. I will be honest as of late I have seen a slip in my daily activities and motivation to move. I am not sure if its the heat, humidity, or air quality here since in NC we are dealing with air quality warnings daily due to wildfires still not being out.

I have been brainstorming and for the month of July I want to find some old fashioned summer fun to add to my days. Who wants to join me in doing a One Day Fun Activity Challenge?

I will do my best to list an activity with either reps or time duration. If someone sees me slipping in listing a new One Day Summer Fun Activity Challenge emoticon pop one up for others to do.

Lets find ways to recapture our youth and those summer time fun memories and see what our matured bodies can do, you may be pleasantly surprised. Mainly have fun and laughter is GOOD for the soul, body, and mindset.
