Healthy Habit streaks achieved: No... I had 12 days above range, 10 days within and 8 days below. I did get better as the month progressed though. Looking back it's even more obvious that weekends are my healthy consumption and stepping downfall.

I met my step and cardio goals for the month. YEAH! I did not do well on the healthy eating habits that was the other goal I set for myself. I started over this week with that though and plan to do well in December.

Didn't reach my goal this month - guess being sick with strep for a week can give me a little excuse but like Suzy, I'm not giving up. December is a new month and time to get back on track. I can get my steps in by going to the mall & walking, walking, walking while looking at all of the Christmas store displays as long as I don't go shopping, shopping, shopping

Oh my gosh! This month has basically blown by and after looking at my step count software- I can honestly say I won't reach my goal for the month.
Does this mean I should throw in the towel today, and just be a lump? NOPE
I am going to do my best to get whatever steps I can in today and set myself a more realistic goal for December. Yes, I will be posting a December Challenge later today for those who want to join.
Anyone else seeing they are having trouble reaching their posted goal due to the holidays arrivals?
I still have to walk if I intend to keep my legs working. I count steps. 11/21 - 3,012 11/22 - 4,058 - Whew! 11/23 - 5.034 - My back is screaming at me. 11/24 - 3, 880 - Company's here. Had to workout at night.

Okay, team for those of us in the USA we've got a big one coming in just a few more hours. Get your game plan in order, make the healthier choices, enjoy the people you are with, and find ways to get some extra exercise in.
Me, I have 2 pies to bake tomorrow (1 pumpkin for my son,who will eat it all on his own over the next few days and 1 apple for my husband), I plan on only having a small (like a 16th of a slice) of each. I've got leaves outside that can be raked, and a house to decorate, plus I am sure the dogs will want to be walked a number of times.
Have fun, enjoy, be smart and use moderation, and truly appreciate all you are thankful for as I am thankful for all you wonderfully inspiring friends. Happy Thanksgiving.

Okay Team, Somehow this week I am going to visit each of your sparkpages to give you the old pep talk, gently remind anyone who's forgotten to log in their stats, and cheer those who look like they are continually making progress. This is a hard month for a lot of us here in the US especially with the holidays closing in so fast. Just do your best each day, and if for some reason you were unable to reach your daily goal do your best the following day to move forward plus one small extra step or boost in the right direction. The extras will add up and balance out some of the Oops moments. -Suzy Don't worry I am following this too since without the use of my elliptical I've seen a drop in my cardio minutes but it just makes me look for new ways to get some cardio in with dvds, shape boxing on the Wii or yardwork.

November 15th update: I'm not getting anywhere near 7000 steps a day like I thought I would - too much computer training at the start of the job, and I'll be cashiering, so not as much walking as I expected. I'm modifying the goal to aim for 5000 a day for the rest of the month, so that's 75,000 more than I have when I finish logging my steps up to yesterday. Darn good thing I keep a journal too! LOL!
I just bought my new pedometer Tuesday night (11/2), because I started a new on-my-feet job yesterday, instead of my 40-hours-on-my-seat job I have had for 14 years (boy, are my feet mad at me today!) So, not knowing exactly how many steps a day I'll be getting 'til I get through the first few "real" shifts, I'll shoot for averaging 7,000 steps a day, for 30 days =

I did well in October, and November is going to be more of the same. I am going on vacation for Thanksgiving, but it will be in warmer climate so that shouldn't affect my steps!
My NOVEMBER step goal is to do: 7500 steps/day (up from last month!) My NOVEMBER Cardio minute goal is to do: 1000 minutes (165 so far... this should be easy and I won't be tracking it here). Hi Team, Now comes the crunch time for many of us with the holidays looming oh so close and temptations everywhere. Fall is well becoming established with cooler temps and shorter days so how are you going to stay motivated, accountable, and moving forward?
This time around I have extended the challenge to encompass not only pedometer steps goals. There may be times this month when due to weather or sickness you cannot get out there and racking up those steps. You can do cardio exercise/workouts in other forms though, and if all else fails stay accountable for the month or that day with a healthy habit. This way you are moving forward and not letting your healthy ways go by the wayside.
You can choose to do the tracking for one way say pedometer steps or multiple ways say cardio minutes & a healthy habit.
So which will you choose and what's going to be your focus for this month?
For those who are new to my monthly challenges here are my tips: YES, put your pedometer on as soon as you are up and out of bed and don't take it off until you know you're done for the night and getting ready to hit the sack. If your pedometer model saves & stores a number of days total step count, then just check in and enter your data when you can (mine stores data for 7 days with display function). If it helps motivate and keep you more accountable to huddle in each day and add your steps, Go For It. I like to track not only my daily steps but the miles I log in each day just moving around- its motivating and a great eye opener.
Those choosing to track cardio minutes or a healthy habit should log in daily to keep consistency going and work on adding a bit more each week in consideration of cardio minutes.
Just work on moving each day, and set your own personal challenge.
Remember to set yourself a goal and a focus point. If you feel yourself needing support make sure to post a help needed remark so we can give up a lift up, help dust you off, and move forward together.
Copy and past the following. Then each day or every couple of days come to the same list and EDIT it, putting in your steps for that day.
**Do not start another Reply screen, just edit the one you started. Showing others our steps, cardio minutes, or healthy habit streak should help us keep accountable and motivated to move to our own beat!
