Well, I'm with the heated swimming pool person..lol
But we rent also, so no go...

If I could sell my Treadmill I would get an Elliptical for ease on my joints. We just dont have
room in the living room for 3 pieces of exercise eq.

I want a Nustep total body recumbant stepper with swivel seat and linear movement. They cost nearly $6,000 and I just can't afford that. Too bad I can't trade in some of the other equipment in and get a discount.

In a perfect world a heated swimminmg pool but I rent and there's not enough room in the yard. SO to be realistic, I would love a trampoline.

I would love a stationary bike. It's been on my wish list for ages! I am limited as to the exercise I can do because of the oxygen and this was one I was able to do for a longer period of time....ah, someday!

I would love to have my house sell so we can make the move to AZ and I can have my life back. I can't have my exercise bike out because our realtors want the house uncluttered and personal stuff put away, so for now it sits in the hot garage. If we had mega-money, I would love a personal pool that I swim against a current, but I don't want the trouble of the upkeep.

After my surgery next week I'm going to get a "surgery present" (my husband's term) of a GoWearFit. I feel like I can't accurately (obsessively?) track my caloric intake without figuring out exactly how much I'm burning, too. Also, if I realize that I didn't burn enough calories that day, it's more incentive to slip in a workout dvd, or take a walk, or do crunches/pushups, or whatever.

HIDDENSWAN, I found my elliptical trainer at a yard sale of all things! Its a Kettler Comet and small so it doesn't take up a whole lot of room in my house or the garage. Its the emoticon yard sale treasure I've ever found for $45! I use it every day and it sure burns a lot of calories. It gets your heart rate up especially when doing interval training using different resistance levels throughout your workout. I love the fact that my hips, knees, and feet aren't begging for mercy at the end compared to when I've tried using a treadmill.

Maybe you should check out yard sales around you and Craig's list?

DHSPARK, Which gym do you want a membership to? Do you have a Curves near you? Be on the lookout on the site and in your emails for a FREE week at Curves to try, what the heck right.

When it comes to the Skechers what type are you in the market for. My mom rewarded me last year with a pair of those Step up Skechers since when I was working in the ice cream shop/coffee cafe I was constantly on my feet and in motion on a cement floor. They sure helped with my foot pain and my posture. I find them more difficult to use in my aerobic walks/jogs due to the size of the sole. I use mine for leisure walking and errands, instead.

I can fully understand that reward of the new pedometer-GWYNNETHJACK. My husband just recently bought me the super pedometer by OMRON. It has software,a USB cable, and can store all my daily info for 41 days! Its the OMRON GoSmart Dual Axis Pocket Pedometer model HJ-720ITC. I LOVE IT!

I want my gym membership back, once I get permission to do exercises after my fall. I'm hoping to get an orthopedic shoe this Friday! Hooray! Three months of not being able to walk or leave my apartment. Three months of not being able to do upper body exercises because of my shoulder.

Think of me Friday. That will be the beginning of my hobbling back to the gym. I love the gym. It has everything I'd ever want.

I already own a MIO watch which is also a heart rate monitor and I love it to pieces! I just saw this thing today and really want one. All it is is pedals like for a exercise bike but without the bike, you can sit in any chair and use it or put it on a table and use it for arm exercises. What a ideal space saver! I bought a treadmill this year but it's so big, even folded up and under the bed when it's not in use, it's huge. I like compact workout equipment and once I've mastered hopping, I'll try skipping again too. My legs just do not jump but I'm trying! emoticon emoticon

My dream list for Santa would include a heartrate monitor and a GPS watch. Those are the only 2 I can think of but there are many more. Oh Oh Oh, I know 1 more, new workout clothes that fit and wick away the sweat and maybe a bra that the straps stay on my shoulders. Please put the bra at the top of the list.

I want an Elliptical. I have a treadmill which was
very expensive, but am planning to sell because it
hurts my back to walk on it.
I read an article on the Ellipticals on spark and it
says this would be much easier on my back and other
joints.

Hi Team,
Okay we went over what we have armed ourselves with in our homes for health equipments and tools to get us towards our goals and really living a healthy lifestyle.

My next question is does anyone have on their rewards list for reaching a goal some form of health equipment or a health tool?

For me, after I set myself some new short term goals (Yes, its time to take stock and create some new challenges-goals) I have listed to reward myself with one of those jump ropes found here on the SparkPeople Store. I figured I'd rather support SP than a chain store and its a great reward. Who else wishes they could skip rope like they used to on a playground when they were younger?
Besides that my son's school each year has a Jump Rope for Heart event where the kids raise money for the American Heart Association. Parents are allowed to come to the school and jump with their kids. My goal this year is to be jumping right along with my son and encouraging him to try. Jumping rope isn't one of his strong points.

My long term goal reward is a Slam Man which is one of those boxing/kickboxing equipment dummies you practice on. It would be a great stress reliever for me, a fun way to add another workout to my routines, and I could teach my son how to defend himself better.
Another one I'd like to add is a really good heart rate monitor. My mom is already suffering from heart disease which increased my risk factors. So I am in this healthy lifestyle journey for the long run and a brighter health future despite my genetics and hereditary factors. emoticon emoticon emoticon
