I haven't posted so far and participated in the challenge. I restarted tracking my weight loss in October 2012 and have lost 4 pounds so far. 1287.2 - 4 = 1283.2

I started off my latest weight challenge at 245 and am currently 236, which totals 9 #s lost.

So, our team #s lost goes from 1311.4 ( - 9 = ) to 1302.4!

Started Mini-Goals 13Nov 2012.

Current mini-goals (added 28 Nov 2012):

1) Keep drinking 8+ glasses of water and tracking food.
2) Do a total of 20 fitness minutes a day.
3) Take 1 parade-action a day [I am volunteer recruiter for our local St Patrick's Day Parade and I always keep things to the last minute - hopefully this year it won't build up and throw me off my weight loss goals! If you live in the Raleigh NC area and want to volunteer, send me a message!]

POPSY190 had it down to 1385.4

SKEETOR lost 12 pounds but did not do the subtraction so that means. 1373.4.

WESTERNSAGE lost 12 pounds but did not do the subtraction so that means 1361.4


So the total is now 1361.4 pounds.

If you lost and post the number of pounds, please do the subtraction. Thanks.

Have Not Done This Challenge. And I Have Lost And Gained The Same 5 Pounds. So, I Will Start The Challenge Tomorrow .... I Weigh In ToMorrow MorNing. Maybe This Is The Extra Motivation That I Need .... I Don't Want To Be The "One" That ADDS Pounds To The Goal.

I just started with SparkPeople in September and didn't sign up for this challenge - I'm still learning about such things!

I have lost 10 pounds since starting with SparkPeople and 2 pounds just before that for a total of 12 lost so far.

Hope that helps with the group meet the goal. It's not much, but then, I am a slow looser.

I am hoping to lost another 5 before the end of the year and 25 more after that.

Best wishes to everybody as we confront the food-filled holidays.

My page says 8 lbs but actually this year I "re-started" at 210 so really I lost 12 lbs this year. I just joined the team last month so I never posted on the other thread.

At the beginning of 2012 a challenge was given this team to Lose 2012 Pounds in 2012. So far the team has gone from 2012 of those pounds to lose to only 1423 to lose. That means that those who have doing this challenge have already lost 589 pounds. I think that this team has already lost more than 589 pounds sooooooo If you have not been doing this challenge before please participate in the challenge. We'll work on THIS thread from now and through December.

Here it goes: This team needs to lose 1423 pounds before the end of the year!!!!! If you have already been using the other thread... please use this one now. Start from the last time you posted on the old thread and go from there to count the number of pounds that you lose...

For instance: 1423 is the goal. If you lost another two pounds since posting.... then SUBSTRACT 1423 - 2 = 1422 pounds left for this team to lose.

NOW... supposing that you have NEVER posted in the other thread before but you have lost weight during 2012. You can subtract the total amount of weight that you have lost from the team goal and go from there. This means weight you have lost either via Sparkpeople or before joining SparkPeople!!

For instance. You have lost 25 pounds during 2012 but you have never posted in the Team Challenge thread to lose 2012 pounds in 2012....then you begin posting NOW as such 1422 from last posted amount MINUS the 25 pounds that YOU have lost this year means that the team still needs to lose 1422 - 25 pounds + 1398 pounds to go.

Starting weight for this challenge.... to end at the end of 2012 is:


1423 pounds!!!!!!
