July 29 - Sunday, I do not exercise on the Sabbath.

July 30 - Jane Fonda's Walk Out

July 31 - Gym - cardio & strength training

Aug. 1 - treadmill - 30 minutes

Aug. 2 -Change of plans - treadmill - 60 minutes

Aug. 3 - 30 minutes treadmill - 45 minutes walking dog ( busy canning, forgot to post. )

This week I am going to aim at getting in some form of exercise each day. If I can't go for a walk, I will try to get down to our rec area and use the stationary bike. I will try to get in some strength training as well.

For this challenge I'm going to mix it up a little bit. While at work, I'm going to make an effort to use the stairs more often, taking a walk at lunch instead of surfing the Internet and finding more reasons to get up from my desk instead of sitting for long periods of time. For today, I'm going to get up and move instead of sitting in front of the computer or watching TV.

My hubby has heart failure issues and he is supposed to exercise for an hour each day. He used to get on the treadmill each day but I told him he needs to mix it up a bit so now he is into biking so my goal is to go with him each morning for an hour ride...should be fun!

Hi i'm on holiday at the moment i am trying to move around for 45 mins in every hour even just up and down the garden the only time i sit longer is when we are having a meal or in the car travelling. though after every 2 hrs in the car we stretch our legs walking around for 45 mins or so.I aim for no less than 10 mile per week hopefully when i get home upping it to 2 hrs or more each day emoticon Did want to go swimming while on this coast but there are damn jellyfish around

Hi

I want to be doing more excercise, just got to get at least 30mins a day and not let life get in the way. Tomorrow is a new day. I know the scales would be going down if I acheive this.

My fitness challenge this week will be to do more walking. My physical therapist told me I can buy a cane and start using a cane rather than a walker. I need to work on balance exercises and using my left leg fully, rather than favoring my right leg.

This week's challenge is that of MOVING.....Exercise.... Fitness!
Chose one or more mini challenges to work on this week. Let us know what your goals are.

Here are some ideas:
Meet aerobic exercise guidelines/week
Meet strength training guidelines/week
Take 10,000 steps per day
Mix up your workout (do one new thing/day)
-- Try a new aerobic exercise
-- Try a new strength exercise
-- Consult a trainer
-- Get a fitness assessment
-- Take a new fitness class (at work, the gym, or a DVD)
-- Exercise activities outdoors
-- Take the stairs
-- Take a walk at lunch
-- Do not sit for longer than 1 hour. (Stand while on the phone, walk to a co-worker’s desk
instead of emailing them, etc.)
-- Choose your own goal
