I'm still in the Nursing Home and "they" had me gain 12 pounds. I was not a happy camper. I finally got them to delete the order to drink Ensure because each of those has 350 calories in it. I now put protein powder in my grape juice or something else and that keeps the calaries down. Last week I had surgery and had the metal bars taken off of my leg...which had been on my leg for 6 weeks. Next time I weigh should be closer to my real weight. I do not know what day is my weigh day. I think maybe Monday.

I will soon go to my own apartment and then I will be able to control my eating more. I still need to make sure I have plenty of protein though for good healing of my broken bones.

I would like to lose 5 pounds by the end of the month. So far I have lose 2 1/2 pounds with weigh in tomorrow.

My April goal will be to fit into my shorts! It is getting much warmer here (too fast, I might add) and i will need to lose 1 clothes size as most of my shorts are 14's with some looser 12's in there. Since I am comfortably in a size 16 I will need to lose about 8 pounds and/or a couple of inches (from hips and belly) to be able to accomplish this goal. I will ramp up my interval walking program and track my food intake to stay in my goal range. Good Luck to all Tortoises!

Last weekend I weighed 254 in after subtracting the weight of my wheelchair. I'll get weighed again tomorrow. My goal for April is to stay the same or lose. I am supposed to make sure I get 100g of protein in each day, even if that means drinking 350 calorie Ensure Shakes. I was not happy to be getting so many calories just to get in the protein. So............as I say, my goal is to not gain weight as I experience life in a wheelchair for awhile.
