Congrats to all. I haven't measured since the first day. Scale shows only 5 lbs lost. I can tell I've lost though. I go too much by the scale. The other day I weighed and it showed I had gained 2 lbs. I was so depressed. Two days later it showed I had lost 2.5. I shouldn't get on it at all. Just go with the flow but it is so tempting.

The way the clothes fit is better than the scale--The scale and your age: they are just numbers!

I forget to measure myself and know its the way to go for me. Altho, I just squeezed myself into a pair of jeans that had been taunting me in my closet for a few months. The scale has not moved, so it felt pretty satisfying to stuff myself into them.

I think I measured once - almost a year ago- but I figured that since I am not doing Strength Training that I wouldn't see a change in the numbers on the tape measure. Maybe I am wrong. I do depend on the numbers on the scale far too much. Congrats to you!! Sounds like you are doing everything right!

Good job. I agree, the tape is the way to go. If not for that, I probably would have given up a long time ago, because the needle just moves oh so slowly.

@LJR4HEALTH - I love the cliché about measuring one's success!
This is the first time that I have started a forum and admit to liking the results from fellow SP's.
Keep up the good work guys.

Though I know I shouldn't get crazy over the scale but I still do the tape measure is a much better way to measure one's success

Well ... its been a month and I have not lost any weight, but then I have not gained any either. So I got out the tape measure and started working my way through the list! To my amazement I discovered that I have lost two inches off my hips and half an inch off my waist. Not bad for one months walking about the estate. Magic!
Just goes to prove (to me) that SP are right about not getting upset about that little needle standing still on that damn machine.
Hoping that next month will show more progress in a nice slow way.
