My relation ship with God, my husband, my children, my grandson,
In order to keep those up, my health,
managed to eat more than 5 fruits and vegetables, drank my eight cups of water, ate oatmeal for breakfast, and found it rather enjoyable, surprisingly.
On my way to the other room where I will do 10 + minutes on the exercise bike.

I want to commend those of you who have ment your one day challenge goal for today.

I'm still at work, but I have my walking shoes with me, so as soon as I get home, the dogs and I are going for long walk. It is humid out here today, and miserably hot. But no excuse will be good enough to make miss the mark.

Health is definitely in my top 5. I want to be fit more than just about anything. I want stamina and strength. I have asthma and had to climb 3 flights of stairs at my daughters dorm the other day and saw how out of shape I am currently and it was a big wake up call. Another thing that is important to me is my family and I have joined with my daughters as we all work at getting healthier and the common goal has brought us closer together. My faith is another top 5 winner, it is my guidepost to life and keeps me going when nothing else can. the fourth one is school, I am committed to doing well in school now that I'm back in college, I want to make my daughters proud of me and I also want the accomplishment of earning my degree for me. The fifth one but not necessarily last is my relationship with my husband, I am working on improving that as well. We are talking a lot more than we had for awhile and are doing much better I want to keep it that way.

Most important to me is keeping my health and making it better with diet and exercise. If this is done then all the other important things fall into line like family relationships and having an interesting life. If I take care of one the other falls into line.

Health is very much a top priority for me these days especially since it has improved so much since changing to a vegan diet.....I will not compromise on that one for anything....
I am off for a 7k walk....my leg is still sore but it is just going to have to get over itslef while I walk.....

Yes, I will definitely put health at the top of my list tomorrow. Had my grandson with me since Friday so my dog has been neglected on morning walks so that will be the first thing we do tomorrow morning. Also plan to eat healthy. I am ready!

My healthy is definitely up there in my top three. Tomorrow I will tackle my long abandoned resistance training program and get a walk in. I will also add another glass of water (yikes) even though I struggle with getting 8 in some days!

Right now my health, fitness, and nutrition come first, 2nd only to God. Even my Husband and Son know that they come 3rd in my life right now. The best part is, they don't mind. My son is 14 and my husband is 50, they are both old enough take care of themselves!! LOL, while I put ME first.. I have neglected myself for a very long time, and this is new to me, but I am starting to see all the positive changes, I just wish I had done this a long time ago.... So I put myself first everyday, and feel good doing it!!

I have been putting my strength work out on the back burner for too many months now. Wed challenge -- do a 20 minute strength routine and continue on from there every other day through at least the end of July!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

well, since i made today my day to start with the gym...i should try to go for a walk tomorrow. from here to the paved road is a 1/2 mile...there and back should give me a workout lol. may not make it in 4 min...but it will be long awaited exercise emoticon emoticon

Goodness! I will make Wed a special HEALTH day....go to the gym, which I keep putting off and also make Tues. today another day to get busy. Cleaning house, changing bed, doing all the cleaning stuff. After the unhealthy eating this past weekend, this will be a great start. I am pumped.

My top 2 are 1) Family and 2) Health. The rest of my life kind of falls in priority based on what is going on at the time.

For Wednesday, I will take the dogs for an extra long walk. I've been promising them a walk, but lately I've been making excuses that it is too hot. Excuses are no longer acceptable to me. So, I'll be walking the dogs.

One Day Challenge - Wednesday

With our ever increasing busy lifestyles, priorities in life sometimes get a little messed up. So I ask that we take a step back, remember or reaffirm our priorities, the things that are most important to us, and be true to those top few items, even if it is only for 24 hours.

What's most important to you? Family? Friends? Work? Health? Success? Church? Sports? Something else that I'm not thinking of right now?

If you answered "Health" in the top 5, I challenge you for Wednesday to actively put health first. Perhaps park at the end of the parking lot at the grocery store or at work and walk a little more. Perhaps it means drinking that extra glass of water so that you reach your 8 glasses in one day. Perhaps it means taking the kids to the park and play soccer with them, or catch, or simply tag. Perhaps it means putting that delicious looking cookie down, and picking up an apple. If Health is one of your top priorities, let's put it first on Wednesday.

If Health did not make your top 5, I challenge you to join the rest of us and make health a priority for one day only, Wednesday.
