Made the weight loss part, 260 on July 1st, didn't get the spark read yet, bummer, but things were a bit stressed, wound up in ER with chest pain Tuesday that wasn't' the usual fibro pain, the guess is GI, they ran cardiac tests, all negative, wanted me to stay overnight, which really wasn't an option, but the belching has me convinced the hiatal hernia/ ulcer were the culprit. Had to let go on a battle for the grand-kids. Different stress for this month, but I know they are safe. Probably tmi

I ended up setting 2 goals since the first goal of loosing a total of 30lbs was achieved mid month. Then I wanted to make it another 2 for 32 lbs. As you can see I was .6 shy of getting to that 32 but I feel good about it anyway!

As for other news, I was finally able to get my wedding ring back on! It took ~2 years to do so but I did it! Yay!

Bummer, I started at 162 pounds and ended at 162 pounds... at least I didnt gain. Same goal for next month. Great job to those who met the challenge!

I didn't meet my goal because I really am the slowest loser. I wanted to get down to 194 and thought 4 lbs lose in a month was doable but not when you lose 0.5 a week it is not. I did lose just not enough.

I juuuust barely made it. It took me 9 days to lose the last pound, but ended up 5.5# lighter today than I was on June 2, and my goal was 5#. This was my first time setting a goal like this, but I'll definitely be doing it again next month.

My overall goal was to weigh less at the end of June than on the 1st: MET!!!

My goal was 4 inches for the month didn't make goal but I did lose 3.25 inches total from body thighs- biceps- forearms - ankles- hips so all in all not bad lost an extra 3.4 pound

There's a few days to go before the end of the month and I know everyone will be reporting their inches lost, weight loss or both. For those who have already met or exceeded their goal or are near it, emoticon and emoticon.

For those who have stayed the same, haven't lost what you had hoped or have even gained like me, emoticon just stay in there and keep working at it. Remember FRIDAY IS THE BEGINNING OF A NEW MONTH! emoticon emoticon A clean slate and a chance to meet and exceed our goals during July!

Losing weight can be a big pain, as well as frustrating and emotional emoticon but you have to admit that you always get another opportunity to succeed, meet your goals and learn from the process. I know I'm trying to be encouraging and supportive but it's true.

Just the fact that you signed on to the challenge and have come back to report your progress makes you a winner! emoticon Remember that too.

Update 6/26: My goal was to lose 3 pounds in June but I've gone way in the opposite direction. emoticon Even with a few days left in the month, I won't show a loss. I'm accepting it and it's okay. I will still have some positives even if they aren't associated with the scale. Planning to move forward and having a better month in July.

4.5 down, only 0.5 to my goal for the month as of last night. I slacked off today, but hubby is leaving for two weeks on Saturday, so my goal is to rid the house of his junk food and be down a total of 17 by the time he gets home. I think I can do it. That will put me back under 200. emoticon

I want to join yall and lose 3 pounds by the end of this month. I just started spark up again early last month, and I have been yo-yoing five pounds up and down. It's so frustrating! Even though I know I eat literally half of what I used to, I'm watching my carbs, and I just started exercising. Let's see if I can actually slow up this sloooow metabolism to at least a crawling start.

Greenlisabean, it sounds like you are doing everything right. I found that it was harder at first, but I kept at the exercise and it built up some muscle. If you can or are weight training, that really helps, because every pound of muscle you can build will be burning calories even when you're at rest. Once I built muscle back up in my legs, weight started coming off more easily. I stuck within 2 pounds of starting weight for about 2 months before weight started coming off, then started losing 2-3 pounds at a time, sort of in spurts (lose 3 in a week, then none for 2 weeks...)

I had a tough work week with a couple lunches out, and a couple days of no time for my healthy snacks. Weighed in at 204 tonight, so at least I am not gaining this week, and am determined to lose the last 2 pounds over the next two weeks. Increased my jogging time tonight, and will do some weight training tomorrow, plus more cardio, and lots of gardening projects this weekend.

bad news, my goal was 3 pounds for June. I've only lost .2 lbs. Honestly probably not even that as I weighed myself before I ate breakfast. And no inches it seems either. Nothing fits different/better. So, 3 weeks of healthy living and 5+ of exercise with NO - yeah that's right - NO results. I thought the beginning was supposed to be easier than the rest. If this is easy - what is hard going to be like????? :-(

You can read more on the blog posts I made today, but in short, I am doing EVERYTHING I am supposed to. I measure and count all my food, what I eat is healthy, I exercise 30 minutes/day 4 days a week, I stay within my calorie window and I have a good ratio of carbs/proteins/fats.

I don't know what to say. I'm not giving up but I am very disappointed and just not feeling excited anymore.

I am happy for everyone who is doing well. Wish I was one of you.

emoticon To those who have already gotten a great start losing for this month. My Goal since Mid May to the end of this month was to lose 10 lbs. Guess what almost there have less then a pound to go. I think I am going to shoot for 15 lbs total by Month's end. Just over 5 lbs to go.
I have been taking my journey slow step by step. I started with nutrition first because well let's face it my diet sucked. So the first nine pounds were diet modification only. I have been good only making chages I can keep up. ( I admit I still eat ice cream and other sweets but in smaller portions. ) emoticon

Now to add exercise. emoticon AND ADD MORE WATER emoticon.

My goal was to be down 30 lbs by month end, but I already made it!! Yay! so new goal is to loose another 2 lbs for a total loss of 32 lbs!

i would like to lose 5 lbs this month. lost 1 but still have 4 left. i don't know why i lose motivation/energy by the end of the day, but since i knopw that is a weekness i can work on it.

2.5 pounds off already this month, but my body seems to plateau, then dump 3-4 pounds all at once, so I think I'll still have to push hard to make my 5 pound goal by the end of the month.

Well, I weighed in today.....137.4! Down .4 so I'm on my way. I know that isn't much but after the weekend that I had that is good. We had a party for my mother's 100th birthday on Saturday. Not great choices of food. But tried to eat healthy. Ate pizza on Sat. night...had 15 people here. Too many to cook for. Then on Sunday, mom couldn't breath and I found her and got EMTs. She is now in the hospital but doing OK. So I'm on a treadmill!!! So as you can see I'm happy with the .4!!

I am very flustered right now. My weight is going up instead of down. I have greatly curbed the sweets, am watching that I don't overcompensate, adding in some other type of food in the place of the sweets, and I am exercising, yet the scales go up. Ugh. 167.4 today. I will keep at it, but now, do I count 3 pounds off from here, or 3 pounds plus the difference this gain makes, which is what, .5 lbs more? Hum.

May we run in such a way that we may win. Think strong. Be strong. Finish strong. (1 Cor. 9:24).
