I actually just went through my closet last week and did a major purge. Anything that didn't fit or was slightly worn out or I just didn't like any more. Gone! Well... not quite. It's all actually still sitting in a giant garbage bag in my bedroom. I need to contact a donations place about coming and getting it.

I do the same thing, always have a donation bag handy. I'm in Eastern Star and we usually have a rummage sale once or twice a year. Money goes for scholarships so it is a great way to house clean and you are not throwing away.

I have been doing this on a regular basis this year. As a piece of clothing outgrows me I remove it from my closet & put it in the donation bag. Or if I buy something new or new to me and I do not have any free hangers I remove something from the closet that I haven't worn in a while.
