I spread the spark by talking to friends, co workers, and family.

I talk about SparkPeople to my doctors...to my co-workers, family, friends, strangers....ANYONE! Most times when I go to workout, I'm wearing a SparkPeople T-Shirt and I will usually get a couple people who ask what it is...I spread the Spark as often as I can!

Whenever anyone comments on my weight loss or bemoans their own lack of weight loss, i tell them about sp. Lots of people write down the website, so hopefully they will all get here when their time is right

When people ask me what I'm doing to lose weight I tell them all about SparkPeople. I Email articles to family and friends. I've purchased gifts from the SparkPeople store and they send "You've Been Sparked" business cards with my orders... I pass those out to people that are interested. Just yesterday I gave one to my mother's primary doctor when he expressed an interest in passing the SparkPeople website on to his patients I wish the SparkPeople store had bumper stickers!!!!

I have most of my Spark activities linked to my Facebook account, plus I talk about it constantly to my friends and families... my best friend is now a member as well. And my roommate is reading my hardcover copy of The Spark. (I just got my paperback version).
Fortunetly I LOVE to talk ! And TALK I DO about Spark !!! I have some friends who are checking it out, and also a few Dr's who are happy with my efforts and the site from what I have told them. I've only been on the site (2nd time around) for 4 weeks this time, but have lost 4lbs and one Dr weighs me each time I go in. So she saw the 4lbs loss and asked "how did you do this?" I have MANY physical limiitations and she works with MANY like me. She wrote down the site to check it out so she can refer others to it. YEAH !
Whenever someone asks about my weight loss or talk about wanting to make changes in their life I will tell them about spark people. I have told my rheumatologist among others about this site. I need to make up some cards to give out... just haven't gotten around to it yet.

For me, I live the best way I can as a healthy role model. Everyone who knows me understands they can ask me any question in concerns to healthy eating choices and exercise and I refer many to the site. My husband, though he doesn't outwardly tell me how proud he is of my daily efforts must brag at work, since when co-workers mention wanting to become more healthy he asks for my SP cards and passes on my Spark. I also do what I can to head up my local Sparkteam and co-lead on here. Sometimes just sharing a small encouraging message makes a big difference in someone else's life. I continue that practice when I volunteer at the schools and encourage others. I even offer many who look for exercise excuses the option of working out with me, so they have an accountablity buddy. I have also passed on my Spark to my parents, and am happy to report my mom is on SP but just reads articles, emails, and does her tracking. That is a HUGE step for her and I am so proud of her daily efforts.
Mostly to family and friends. I've helped set several family members up with accounts and shown them around the site. While I do not think any of them are actively utilizing the site, I like to think that perhaps I've planted a 'seed' so to speak.
I am strong and I can climb mountains!

I confess I haven't done as much spreading of the SPARK as I should. After all when you find something so awesome and it is free sharing it is the thing to do. I live in Mexico and am pioneering for the Bahai Faith. I regularly send an all inclusive email to all friends so I will talk about SPARK in the upcoming one.

I work at a Hospital in Africa and we almost always have visitors here from the States. Many are medical people but we also have those who construct, teach, fix things, etc.
I frequently am Spreading the Spark to those visitors, inviting them to SparkPeople. Two years ago I told a visiting Surgeon about SP. He now tells many of his patients about it. He visited here last year and said he had purchased Pedometers for his parents. This year he was back, along with a visiting Pediatrician. After they had come for dinner he asked me if I had talked to her about SP. I told him that, no, not yet, "GO FOR IT". Then next day, after the visiting Surgeon had told the Visiting Pediatrician about SP, she came to me to help her JOIN!
