I lost 1.6 pounds this month and I am over the moon about it. I have never gotten through the holidays without gaining weight and I made it through both Thanksgiving and Christmas....tomorrow will be a snap.

Well, I've lost 3.1 pounds this month so far... slow and steady wins the race so I can't complain especially for this time of year emoticon emoticon

I'm up a bit in weight so I will really have to work to get back down to my starting weight for this month and maybe lose a few ounces. I can do it though. I'll check in again in a week.

Yes, Nancy. Every month there is a monthly challenge to either lose weight (or inches). Some people weigh and measure at the end of the month and others at the 1st of the next month. There will be another thread started for January.

I'm jumping in a little late here, but I want to lose weight too. I am in charge of the veggies for Christmas dinner so thankfully I will KNOW there is something tasty and healthy to eat! Eating healthy has become such a habit for me that I can't stand the thought of eating junk during the holidays just because it's the holidays.

I hit a new low this morning - 149.7! I hope I can hold it and the weight doesn't go up and down this week. The last time I was under 150 was before the thyroid died.

I haven't done so well the last two months - barely maintaining. And with being too busy in school, and sick with this cold, I haven't had the time or energy to spend much time on SP, and my exercising has had to be cut way back. I really hope December will be better!!

So may goal is to lose at least 4 pounds this month.

My goal for weight this month is to maintain. I know I have a work Christmas party, a funeral after a long drive, and 9 days with my in-laws in Texas. Not having tons of control over food choices while traveling will make things difficult, but I know that if I stick to drinking water and keep track of what I eat then I should be okay.

I still have 100 pounds to lose so maintaining is not an option for me personally.

I've lost 40 in five month since joining SP so another 10 would be emoticon

I'm excited to end 2010 healthier than I was at the beginning of the year and start 2011 with a "BANG" emoticon So I'm setting the bar high and going for a total weight loss of 50 pounds since joining SP by January 1st emoticon I better get moving!!!!!!!!!!

Exercise 1st... Spark 2nd. Works for me!

Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.

Instead of giving myself reasons why I can't I give myself reasons why I can.

Tired of starting over? Stop giving up!!

I would ideally prefer to lose in December. Realistically, since I lost 4 pounds in November emoticon I well at best maintain. So I will choose maintenence but secretly hope to lose at least a pound. emoticon

What is your goal for December? Do you wish to maintain the weight you have or do you wish to lose weight in December? December is a month filled with cookies, candies, parties, etc and can be really a challenge.

I think that many of us would be happy with maintaining our weight but others want to keep losing, even during this Holiday month. Either is very respectable and accepted.

What is your WEIGHT goal for this month? Maintenance or losing weight? You need not tell us how much you would like to lose. Just if you goal is Maintenance or Weight Loss.

Weigh in and then report in weekly to let us know how you are doing with your own goal, maintenance or weight loss. At the end of December, give us a final report.
