I met my primary goal for Oct. I had no problems keeping up with the 3 mile charity walk I did last weekend.

I'm afraid I didn't do so well on the ST or fruits/veggies. That gives me goals for Nov., though.

October results - Nil weight loss, but no gain! Still haven't started a second, less-sedentary job, which was what I was counting on to boost my losses. Didn't measure this morning (because DH got up early - how silly is that?) so I will probably wait until next Sunday to check the inches category.

Where's the November thread? LOL! Can't say I'm not eager to keep trying!

The news for me is a 1 pound weight gain for Oct.... 1 pound loss since Aug so I lost 2 in Sept and gained one back. Overall...that is a 1/2 loss per month. Not fast but ....this IS the Slowest Losers team. I'll try to do better in Nov. though.

WOW, October is about over. My goal was to lose weight, any amount. I started at 249.6 pounds and I'll weigh in on Sunday to let you know how much, if any, I lost.

I just started a new job and I'm getting back into the 9-5 rhythm. One of my goals is to get my eating into the same rhythm. I do great around breakfast time, but I feel my anxious eating rising. I think it's just a matter of upping organizing and preparing.

I also want to get below the 230s. We'll see.

I just started walk/run intervals, which was not an intended goal. However, now that I've started, I want to maintain my momentum.

I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made!

I want to be 185lbs by Christmas. I just got back from vacation though and haven't weighed myself since, so I'm not sure how much I need to lose. My clothes aren't especially tight or anything though, so I'm guessing 10-15lbs in 11 weeks. Do-able!

My original goal was to do the c25k running program consistently but the past week my sciatica has been really bad and I haven't been able to do much. So we're getting close to halfway through the month and I'm going to revise it to stick to my calorie range each day for the rest of the month.

Think positively about myself - Be KIND TO ME!!

Be consistent with tracking food - even on weekends!

Exercise at least three times per week for no less than 30 minutes.

Stay on the low end of my calorie range.

Do 2 chores and one thing I have been procrastinating on daily.

Drink 6-8 lasses of water.

To track all of my food the rest of the month. Haven't gained just need to make sure I'm in the right range of calories.

Got into using quicktrack need to do a reality check.

Push long run out by 30% by time by the end of the month.

Currently 30 minutes at 10 minute pace. Push time out 10% per week so by the end of the month 39 minutes and basically 4 miles for Long Run.

to lose 9lbs by halloween, since i have lost 1 this week, and to ride my new recumbant bike every day, if only for a few minutes, to walk at least 3 days a week, and to do more organizing and cleaning in my house, and get my roots colored, yea, that is up at the top of the list

My #1 goal for Otober is to continue walking almost every day with my dogs in the park. I use a walker, so cannot walk as far as I would like, but I can walk. I need to push myself a little every day, but listen to my body, and not push too hard. I also need to concentrate on eating healthier. I have multiple medical problems. Healthier eating will help them. emoticon emoticon

Life seemed to interfere with most of my plans in September so I didn't make much progress toward my goals. For October:

I want to get back to my regular gym routine, with workouts/classes at least 6 days a week but make sure I don't do too much (along with yard work).

I want to go bike riding with my DH at least 3 times.

I want to go on several hikes and enjoy the lovely weather.

I want to get back to eating at least 6 servings of fruits and veggies each day.

I want to be able to do 3 yoga poses that are difficult for me now.

I want to lose 4 pounds.

I want to have friends over to enjoy a bonfire!

1000 situps/crunches
1000 air squats
1000 pushups

Go to crossfit 3 days a week and walk on days I am not at crossfit.

Follow my no-no list from my chiropractor 95% of the time.
1) no sugar
2) no alcohol
3) no dairy especially no cheese (yogurt is allowed)
4) no caffiene especially no Diet coke.
5) no Bread except for exekiel or sprouted

I don't loose weight so no sense making myself crazy with a pound goal. good luck to all of you and keep sparking!!! emoticon

Hadn't thought about specific goals for the coming month. I am afraid to put in a "lose ___ lbs" because I am not sure that is a goal I will achieve. However, there are other goals I think I can meet, so here they are:

1. Daily food journaling
2. Walk at least 1 mile 4x/week or more
3. 6 C of water/day

My goal is to keep working out 4 days a week, keep walking 7 days a week. I won't let the weather, travel, or time defeat me this month. I will continue to improve my diet and eat healthier than I did in September.

October 2 is my birthday. I will be 51. My goal is not to eat too much cake that day. Then I plan to make sure I am getting my 8 cups of water and I need to decide on a plan of eating. I need to look at Spark diet one more time.

My October big goal is to leave the 190's behind and start the battle with the 180's. It's been too long since I celebrated getting into the 190's and it's time to move on. Getting my food consumption back under control will be a priority.

I'm hoping to start my new job any day now, so I will shoot for a 5-lb loss for October. I won't have the capability to snack all afternoon at the new job (which I do most days now just to keep myself awake!) and I'll be on my feet the same 4 to 8 hours as Piedad, so 5 should be reasonable.

k every1, I go back 2 work on da 6th n where I've been doing sum walking it totally different walking at work. It's none stop 4 8 hrs, emoticon I know I'm gonna b in pain! My goal is to get back in shape n do my walking without being sore! emoticon

I did lousy with my Sept. goals. I think I had posted I wanted to lose 10 lbs in Sept. I managed to lose 3 lbs. But for October I plan to do my best to stop snacking after supper has ended. Snacks around 9pm are hard to get away from so that's what I'll be working towards. I'll let you know how it's going.

ok, after some soul searching, I have finally decided that for the month of Oct., my goals will be: continue to swim my routine 3 times a week, work in at least one day on my exercise bike for 20 minutes or more, continue with my 8 glasses of water, and track my food at least 5 days a week. I Can do this!!! emoticon

My goal is to lose 10 lbs by the end of October and to do more walking. I walk just about every day and do yoga but will probably trade the yoga time for more walking time as that is what helps with the weight lose.

I am in the lose 10 lbs before Halloween challenge, so that is number 1.
and just to walk, at least 2 to 3 times a week and to get and keep my house alot cleaner.
and to read all my books that are waiting to be finished.

My goals:
Lose weight each week--no matter how much or how little.

Drink 10 glasses of water each day.

Really keep track of what I'm eating.

Wear my pedometer and try to get wxtra steps in--this is one area that is hard for me--recovering from a MAJOR illness and on oxygen 24/7. 9 months into recovery-will just have to try as hard as I can.

Be at 193 lbs by Oct 31 (I want to be at 185 by Christmas) - currently 197
Join a gym
Go to said gym consistently
Faithfully track food
Be more vigilant about food and water intake on weekends.
Go to the pool at least once a week.

Unfortunately (as far as this is concerned and not at all for the rest of it), I'm on vacation (leaving tonight!) until October 10 so some of this will be postponed until October 11.

My goal is to lose 5 lbs. This will bring me from 219 down to 214 lbs.Have been on a plateau for 4 weeks now. Once the plateaus break I will drop about 4 to 5 lbs quickly. Will start lower body strength exercises at least 3X/week. Walk with wife 3X/Week.

Get my eating and nutrition back under control after our 2.5 week bike tour vacation.
Since we rode out bikes 20-40 miles a day, DH and my friends lost weight.
Not me though...
I gained 5 pounds! I just hate to think how long it will take me to get rid of that... emoticon

My goal for October is to break the cycle of eating at work. Most nights I either bring something to eat or have eaten before I leave and yet I still find myself buying something at work to eat. I work at a pizza place and some nights the smells are so yummy. I could understand if I was hunger but lately I seem to be eating for eating sake. I should be hunger so I eat even if I am not.

My goals are a little different. I am in my second week of not smoking, and although I don't PLAN to gain weight, I am reasonably sure I will. Water and exercise are and will be my nicotine replacement. My goal for October is to gain no more than 5 pounds and to explore different ways to exercise in order to stay active.

Some met their personal goals to lose pounds or inches in SEPTEMBER and others of us (like me) did not meet that goal. SEPTEMBER is now almost behind us and another month is about to begin!!

For this OCTOBER challenge we each set our own goal or goals. Some of us use scales. Others keep track of inches or centimeters. For this challenge you set your own goal or goals for the month.

What are your goals for OCTOBER? Lose pounds? Lose inches? Exercise more? Try out a new exercise? Join a Gym? Track your Food? What are your OCTOBER goals?

Make your goals reasonable. Don't shoot for the moon. If you only have one goal, lose weight or inches, that is good. If you want to share other goals that you have for October, let us know that too.

Check in at the end of the month or more frequently if you wish. Remember that we're the SLOWest Loser team so do not make a goal that is too BIG or FAST! Be realistic.

I weighed 249.6 pounds today, September 29. By October 31st I'll take any loss I can muster up!!! I had a one pound gain for September so It's time for me to lose!
