It is not necessary to exercise for 10 minutes 28 days straight to meet the requirements of this challenge. The Team goals say that you exercise at least 5 days a week. I was concerned about this as I had exercised 22 days and then missed day 23. I checked it out on the team, and the Team Leader confirmed that I was correct.

With that I say, TODAY IS THE END OF WEEK 4 of this challenge for me so I have MET the Goal and Finished the Course!

I made 4 days of 10 minutes of exercise. Today I walked with my husband and dog for 20 minutes! And it was cold and windy and I never exercise in the cold! That was a victory for me!

It was raining this morning so could not walk to the bus stop and this afternoon just before we were to go my youngest got into a coughing spell to the point he threw up (nothing new for him) so I felt it best not to walk. Therefore will count my trip to Walmart as my 10 minutes of walking,I was pushing a cart with my youngest in it.

Today is day 7 for me. One week down and three to go. At the end of week one do not forget to check off that you completed the seven days. There is a place on the other Team page to put your check when you're ready to go on to the next week.

Did everyone start a thread on the other team...a thread in the Week One forum? I did. Only about 1-2 people wrote on my thread. If you did a thread, did you get many to make comments? I'm mostly keeping the thread for me. Tomorrow I'll start a week Two thread over there... on the Streak Challenge team.

Keep exercising. Everyone can do 10 minutes a day!!!

How are you all doing? Did you get the first week email about the team and what to do? Have you already signed up for the Team goal of 10 minutes of Exercise a day?

There are suggested articles to read on the site. At the end of week one we need to click off that we've finished week one.

Keep doing so well everyone. We surely can do 10 minutes a day. That's all that is asked of us!!

To make a streak:

First go to the 10-Minute Exercise TEAM page and towards the bottom, you need to click to join the one team goal that they have, that of exercising for 10 minutes a day.

Next go to above to the tool bar and click on
My Tools then
Spark Streaks
Then on that screen click on Manage Spark Streaks

Then you'll need to put check marks on the team goal of the 10 minutes of fitness.
Click save it it asks you to do so.

yeah, consistency is what I'm looking for, plus a realistic concept of exercise. I thought walking around the block was easy exercise. I always thought what I did on the Wii active program would be classed as hard. LOL

I just joined this morning. I workout, but still have a hard time being consistent and getting in as much activity each day, as I should be. I wear a pedometer also, and can see the days I really am not doing much at all. I would like to get my step count back up and be consistent about it. Doing at least 10 min a day, should help motivate me and get me consistent again. That's what I'm going to strive for. Thanks for the challenge.

I joined it yesterday.
I did 10 minutes of a Richard simmons tape in the afternoon, then 10 minutes of dancing with the wiggles last evening in self defense against a marathon auto show blitz by my hubby,
then today I did 15 minutes of what THEY called "easy" Wii active. yeah. easy. I'd hate to see hard. LOL

I'm one of the 500 who finished the challenge & have my pedometer trophy to show for it. It is a great challenge to keep you on track & make you think about all of the things that can count as exercise. You will have lots of others in the challenge who go on & on about starting out to do 10 minutes & how they ended up doing 30 BUT . . . don't forget the name of the challenge is 10 minutes so be sure to do that but don't beat yourself up if you don't work your way up to more. The important part is to make that exercise a habit.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life!

TORNADO40 and GRANPATTIE... welcome to our Slowest Losers group of members taking on the SP Official 10 minute Exercise Challenge.

As far as I can tell, it seems like only 5 days a week is necessary to complete that challenge. At least the team goal mentions 5 days a week. I'm going to try to do it 7 days a week. After all, 10 minutes isn't much!!

I realize that we'll be doing some chatting over on that team so understand if you don't all chat here. Let's try to give an update on this thread once in awhile though....

Perhaps there will be others.

I joined.

In the summer when I am home I exercise every day. During the school year it is harder...I get up early and get home late. I usually only exercise 5 times per week when I am teaching. I will take this challenge and add back the other two days. Those days will only be about 20 minutes instead of my usual 45.

My goal for Week 1:

I already walk about 4 times a week but there are other days that I just must SIT because my pedometer does not get hardly any steps. My goal is to use this challenge to exercise at least 10 minutes, 7 days a week!
