This challenge ends TODAY? I have not had any Diet Coke since the challenge started. Of course I'm looking forward to some Diet Coke to help me celebrate the Forth of JULY!:-)
How did you do with this challenge?
A challenge was for this next week was just posted at the following link:

So far no Diet Coke so I'm doing ok.
LOLOUTE... Yes, I would have eaten the ice cream too! BUT today is another day.
For everyone who has had problems with the challenge. Remember that each day is another day. Don't feel guilty about the day before. Just try to do better today. Remember also that It's not Perfection that we're needing. It is PROGRESS!

Not doing well on my challenge. Have not done any cardio yet this week and does not look promising before Saturday. This is supposed to be our slow time at work but because of two girls cutting down on the amount they want to work (like me they also work from home and have the option to do so) and one girl who works in the office having an injury and either not working as much or possibly no longer there we have not had a slow down actually we have gotten behind.

Hi guys, my challenge was to not eat in the evening. Well, i had a great and bad last night... Bad because i ate a Dairy Queen ice cream thingy with lots of everything in it. Great because i have been single for over 5 years and a guy invited me to eat the famous ice cream. Now people, wouldn't you have done the same??? I will be extra careful today and smiling all the way !! Nicole *_*

Well, I said no twice today. I ended up getting some fries, but I only ate half and I got rid of the rest. My sweet son offered me some Oreos (my favorite cookie in the whole wide world) and I said no thank you. It seems easier to say no to my kids since I didn't want to take his food. Maybe if I can imagine my husband and everyone else as my kids, I might could kick this nasty habit.

I am not off to the best start. Had a couple of glasses of wine last night with dinner. However, it did not push me over my calories for the day, and now I have no open wine in the house so the rest of the week will be a breeze.

Ooh, good one for me this week: I haven't had a soda since Saturday, and I quit smoking on Monday. Ran out of cigs and decided that was it. No moderation there, just quit. As for the soda, too many of my calories come out of those cans and bottles, and I don't lose weight if I drink them. Cold water is good, and my sweet tea is still a better choice (less sugar, plus no artificial junk and it has anti-oxidants too) I'm just glad I don't like alcohol, that would be too many things to give up! I'll check in and let y'all know how I do this week! Wish me luck!

My greatest challenge is really no particular food; I have a hard time saying no. My goal this week is to say 'no' and stick to it to foods that I know are not on my plan. This is a challenging week, since this is a holiday weekend. I will limit myself to say no at least 3-5 times this week. Just that, with my track record, will make a big difference.

All of you guys that can make a challenge to not eat a certain food, but you still keep it in the house are amazing to me. I hve to get it away from me or I become obsessed. Best of luck to everyone.

I will change my usual Taco Bell order from 1 Baja Beef Gordita without cheese (but with the baja sauce) and 1 crunchy taco fresco style to: 2 crunchy tacos fresco style. I will do this until I have lost 5 more pounds.
I will do my strength training and balance/stretching exercises at least 5 out of 7 days a week. They are not with heavy weights, but I will slowly work up to 2 sets of each over 2 weeks.
Thanks for the chance to commit on a challenge. This is just what I needed!

Like many others, I will ATTEMPT to have only ONE snack in the evening, even if I have "room" for it in regards to calories, fat, carbs, etc., AND even if it's "only" a "100 calorie snack." I love those "100 calorie snacks" - like the 100 calorie Sweet & Salty Snack Mix, by Nabisco. I could make a meal out of them! Or, the 100 calorie pudding thingees. Oh my......I could go on and on!!!
Best of luck to all of us. See you in a week!!

I am going to quit eating anything at least 1 hour before bed! I've lost over 100 lbs and had completely "cured" my reflux, but lately I've been eating right before bedtime. The result is the return of reflux! So no eating, snacking etc at least 1 hour before bed! Great challenge!

I'm going to try - yet again - to stop drinking more than one glass of wine a day. Not only empty calories but more than one glass sets me off on an eating spiral. GOT to stop!! I am also pledging to spend less time on Spark - very addictive (also informative) but I'm limiting it it to to one hour a day. Great challenge - thanks

That is just so excellent! I draw and paint and I think the computer time is a waste comparatively.

I'm going to cut down on time at the computer and use that time to practice drawing and painting in my nature sketch journal. I'll spend 2 hours per day drawing/painting, and that will be 2 hours I am not on the computer! :)

I am going to do the same thing as DEBRABUF - I am going to limit my snacks to 1 after dinner, even if I have more calories left for the day.

I don't drink enough water, so this coming week I will drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. If I do this, I will get a pedicure. Pesha

I drink too many Diet Cokes which are bad for my already bad bones. This week I will limit myself to one small Diet Coke for the whole week. Since I just finished drinking a small Diet Coke, my challenge will be to avoid drinking another one until next Sunday (July 4th)!

Here's a challenge for one week only. For this week pick one food item or activity that you will give up or cut down eating or doing.
For example: If you are pulled to eat ice cream (or pizza or Coke, etc) every day then decide today to either avoid it entirely this week or limit it to one or two days.
Another example: If you are on the computer too many hours a day, try to limit yourself to less time during this week.
Describe what you're challenging yourself to limit this week and then later on during the week let us know how you did.
