Thanks for the links Patt. I'm so excited for Fall and all the festivals and walks that happen.

Wish I could join you for the Arthritis Foundation Walk (my grandmother and mom have arthritis and I'm guessing I will get it some day if it is in my genes) but we are attending a different walk. My daughter has autism so we're participating in the Walk Now For Autism event at Canterbury Park.

Summer is nearing its end, but there are lots of events to enjoy in the coming weeks. In addition to walks and runs, there are lots of festivals and other events. Here's a link to the Explore Minnesota site www.exploreminnesota.com/festivals-a

Walks to heighten awareness of issues and diseases as well as raise funds are an important part of our social fabric. It's amazing how many there are. I am on one of the committees for the annual Arthritis Foundation walk on September 25, and I was amazed at how difficult it was to find a weekend when there were only 3 or 4 competing walks. If you have a special interest and would like to support it by participating in a walk, The Walking Site is a great resource for both finding walks and preparing for them www.thewalkingsite.com/events.html If you would like to participate in the 2010 Arthritis Walk in Edina on September 25, here's a link twincities2010.kintera.org/faf/home/

I have arthritis, and I know firsthand how much it can change one's life. I'll be at the walk and hope to see some of you there. Whatever your cause, participate in a walk or in several walks. It's good for your heart and for your soul!
