Drink a little extra water. Maybe change your eating. Like eat breakfast for supper and eat lunch for breakfast. I'm no expert but keep doing what you are doing and it will catch up. I saw in an email from the Dukan newsletter back during the holidays to take some extra vitamin C during the holiday time because of the extra treats people consume.

HELP I have hit a plateau! I have been doing the dukan for a full month and lost 17 lbs but for the past 4 days I have been the same weight, and gained a full pound! I've tried 3 days PP and upping exercise. Anyone have any pointers?

I am using the 2011 version as an ebook and also the 2012 hardback cookbook. While I was researching this to get it started I found a website called mydukandiet that has a TON of recipes--problem is whoever has that website must live in the British Isles b/c some of the recipes are getting lost in translation w/ different measurements and oven temps (I used a gas mark oven on a trip to Ireland).
I feel like an adventurer on a voyage of discovery--plan is working so far and I am very happy w/ results w/ weight, measurements, and blood sugars.

Peace out,
Mary S.

Starting Cruise today after a rather sloppy 5-day Attack--I still am 6 lbs below what I weighed about 5 days before I started Attack (didn't weigh the day I started Attack b/c I had eaten a lot of salt the night before so I wanted an honest starting weight).
I am juggling my blood sugars/meds as well as my weight--my fasting blood sugars were at their lowest in MONTHS while on Attack. I also have to watch salt (this time a month ago I want to the doctor about my ever-crazier sugars and found out my usually-high blood pressure was a skull-popping 204/110) . So, I am using ricotta cheese instead of the salt-loaded cottage and am being conservative w/ the surimi.
Today I will be adding salad for lunch and zucchini for dinner--can't handle veggies w/ breakfast.

Peace out,
Mary S.

Julie - well, at least you can get up and get yourself a cup of coffee at least now, and you don't have to wait on somebody else. That is always a nuisance when it happens to me. Gee, you've majored in surgeries. Hope you don't have any more planned! Sorry if it hurts.

Honouria, I tore the meniscus in February a couple of days before I had a hysterectomy. So I have waited a while to get it fixed. Today I can at least hobble to and from the bathroom and kitchen I gave up my crutches. But still staying down pretty much.

Hi everyone,

I've been on cruise since Thursday evening. I am finding it very easy but am not very hungry at all and I don't think I am getting all my calories each day. Has anyone else had this issue?

The foods I am craving are things like salads, tomatoes, cucumber etc. I don't eat meat so am doing a lot of tofu, fish, prawns, and dairy.

I'm thrilled to be losing but I don't want to hurt myself!

Jules - yikes! What happened to your knee? I hear you about waiting for somebody else to get up in order to eat. Oh, boy. Especially if you are on Cruise that's tough. Somebody should give you a tin of sardines, or some dried beef to have next to your bed. But that's not the same as a piping hot cup of coffee! Hope you have your water next to you!

I actually think I slept for you. I had surgery on my knee yesterday. Then came home and took pain meds and was in and out most of yesterday and I am just now getting up. I hate being on crutches. I can't do anything for myself. So I am waiting for someone else to get up so I can have some food today. Isn't that terrible?

I am only on day 2 of cruise but I can totally see how that can happen. I had a glass of wine for Mother's Day because I didn't want to hurt my daughters feelings who brought it (yeah right). Today is just a pp day and I went to the recipes and found some cool dishes to entice me to eat. When I am on a pp day it is so easy to get bored and want to take a bite of this or that. I was on this diet before and did very well...hoping for a repeat for the last time. they are right though, if you don't plan and have foods on hand you'll mess up. Try 2 pp days and then back to pp, pv and see if that helps.

Anyone out there? Just wondering who is on this thread and who is actively on the diet at this stage...

I have stalled and actually gained 3 lb over the last couple weeks. Not bad, considering I have had all kinds of transgressions from the diet. When I sat down and seriously looked at what I have eaten - with all the little "bites" here and there either pacifying others (who were hosts or highly influential) or more realistically pacifying MYSELF for a variety of reasons - I had a big AHA! I actually was eating more like the Step 3 outline! Oh, light bulbs went off ... I have put myself into MAINTENANCE essentially!

Right! So now I have some idea of what to do to get back on track. Cut out the bits of cheese and the bits of bread and all the other "little bits" that are not part of Step 2! LOL

Did this happen to anyone else; did you let the guard down a little too far once vegetables came back into your life?

I started cruise yesterday! Yaye! I was so happy to mix green peppers,
And spinach in my scrambled eggs and nibble om brocolli throughout the day.
I actually lost 0.2 more lbs. I am prepared for the slower pace weight loss or even a
Slighy gain....but I know that it will eventually drop more! Lets continue to encourage each otherbecause it sure does help me!!! On attack, I lost 10.2 lbs!...now since I started cruise,
I lost only 0.4, but its still a lost. I wont get discouraged. keep pressing everyone!

Yesterday was my first day with veggies an I had a taco salad just meat, tomatoes an lettuse. I said last nite I was not going to weight until the end of the month but guess what ..... I did n yes I'm up a pound an yes I had lots of water yesterday. I'm doing the 1/1. I did it before an will do it again. Tomorrow I said I was having the cauliflower an green beans. Hi Everyone! I started the cruise phase 2 days ago and have shown a gain of 1.5 lbs. It looks like that's pretty normal. Like some others, I was actually afraid to add vegetables and slow down my progress. I had a celery stalk and about a cup of cauliflower on my first PPV day. The next morning .. up 1/2 lb.! I am doing the 1/1 plan, so today is another veggie day. I'm going to add as much veggies as I want. I think the issue may be not enough calories for too long a period (my attack was 7 days) and body goes into conservation. I'll give that a try.

my favorite PV meal is portabello mushroom pizzas, I use the mushroom as the crust and I was able to find a no sugar added marinara type sauce, then I just add some meat and veggies, bake for 10-12 minutes...they are awesome, but I am also a huge mushroom fan, I know a lot of people aren't though.

Hello,

I am a week into the Cruise. Doing the 5/5 plan. Was wondering where you get all the good recipes?? I am doing ok but getting a little bored. Haven't lost since being on Cruise and am a little disappointed. I check measurements today but need to compare. I also am going to start walking again. I work as a carpenter so I usually get a lot of steps in my day, but have been off work for a couple of weeks. I have a 1 yr. old who dictates my day. And I'm a single Mom, so errands and cleaning and such get in the way. I don't sit down very often, but know I need to get my butt outside and walking. Waiting for the babes to wake up from her nap so we can get out there. Hoping the scale will move this week. I'm right at the decade mark and am ready to fall.

Anyway, if someone can guide me to the PP and PV recipes, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Found another idiosyncrasy between the books..at least according to some forum posts I read elsewhere.

Supposedly in the UK edition, SF/FF jello pudding is allowed, not just the fruit jellos. I don't see why we couldn't eat it if it has no sugar and no fat..

Just saw this thread..
Yeah I have one edition on Kindle and another hardback and they are slightly different. I think one is just translated from the French edition and the other is updated to add things like SF jello as approved.

I remember from one edition where he says don't go back on Attack per se, but to do one or two days of PP if you get off track.

I find people have different information depending on the edition of the book they have or if they read something on the web site. I truly find that annoying! In my mind it either is or it isn't! I don't like the fact that sometimes you do this...or not....or maybe....and sometimes something else. Someone needs to get their facts straight DR. DUKAN!!! One edition says NO cheese...another says FF cheese...another says no jello another says its ok...I am getting tired of the inconsistencies.

Actually if you read the book Dr. Dukan says never go back to the attack phase. BUT I never listen to anyone anyways...having said that my attack phase was only 2 days so when I have fallen off the wagon due to vacation or something big I redo my 2 days attack. If I had to do attack for like a week or something forget it I could never do it. He also mentions in the book something called white days or something like that where you have only white foods for a day like chicken breast, eggs etc... If you have not read the book its a good idea to do so.

Tasha, I have the same issues you do with weight loss. I also weigh daily and get frustrated with the water and bowel retention. I found a laxative herbal tea every night helps me a lot. I tend to gain after PV days and lose after PP days.

I think your rhythm in the Cruise Phase will work just fine, especially since it seems to already be working for you and you have an extra PP day in there to help you along. emoticon

Finally putting me on my To Do list!

Question: I'm on Cruise Phase but I have an odd rhythm. Monday-PP, Tuesday-PV, Wed-PP, Thursday-PP Friday-PV Saturday-PP Sunday-PV. Will that work? Is there a magic formula? Also, do you weigh daily or once a week? And if once a week, do you weigh on morning of PP or PV?

BTW- I have been losing I think around two pounds a week since on cruise but I do have the bowel issues and water retention fairly regularly. So one day I can gain and then a couple of days later have lost 4 pounds(?) is this normal? Lots of fluctuation but a general downward trend. It can be unnerving. I do think a lot of the fluctuation is water/and or bowel related but it is annoying. I do weight daily. I should expect this by now. Any thoughts anyone?

Hi, there. Thought I'd pop in and say hello. I am on Day 2 of Cruise - have lost a total of 7 lbs so far and was thrilled to have spinach this morning. emoticon

This has been so easy so far; hope it stays that way. No hunger, no desire to eat carbs. Very surprising.

Lost on the attack phase ...not a lot of poundage but I can tell by how my clothes fit that it is def. working. I messed up during Easter so I am repeating my 2 day attack phase. Hope it at least takes the lousy cravings for carbs away!!!!!!!

I'm among the many who switched to Cruise and stopped losing weight. I lost 10 pounds (!) during attack, and have lost about a pound since I switched, last Saturday. So almost a week. Dr. Dukan says in the book that the 1/1 plan takes about 20 days to catch up- I wonder if that means that it takes that long to start back losing weight regularly? I don't find myself gorging on vegetables on my veggie days anyway, just allowing some vegetable garnishes on my burger or some sprouts on my omelet. I dunno. Should I be forcing more veggies on veggie days? I had a carrot Monday. lol
I was so excited to lose the first third of my goal in a week, but I don't want to mess up and stall out here!

Susan, great attitude concerning the "only lose 1-2 a week". Remember, you didn't gain this all overnight so it will take time. Hang in there, you can do it. :)

Still following the Cruise. Weight has kind of stalled but I remember from the book is that you only lose 1-2 a week so I am not going to get down about it. I find I like my "pure protein" days better than my "protein/veggie" days. I feel much leaner, especially through my mid-section.

Thanks Sue.. I would have been having it daily if not for the caution :)
Well Cruise day 10 is on and i have not lost much from my attack.. may be a 1 kg..
I did slip one day .. had a ham sandwich and 1 piece of cake..it was my bday and my friends wanted to treat me .. and i did see the scales go up and then its been so hard to lose that gained weight..
so i am back to the weight when i started cruise .. but cant be discouraged .. atleast there is something happening..

But i do want to know.. do you have cramps and all sometimes during Cruise ? I had a bad leg cramp today and was wondering if i have been deficient in some Vit....Any Thought????

I havent been doin my walking reg..only today i was actually able to get out for this..
All the other days working 9 hrs + 2 hrs travel.. makes it tough to find some time to get the exercise in my daily routine..

Anyways thanks for the support ! emoticon

Hi there! I finished the Attack Phase yesterday with about a 5 pound loss. Made me feel great. Now entering the Cruise Phase and looking forward to getting my green beans and asparagus back! SO far I really like this plan.
